I know he denied being bipolar and personally I see no reason not to believe him, but it is the disgnosis that most people commonly ascribe to him, so I just used that one as an example.

What did Duff say about that? Do you mean what he said in his book about not blaming Axl for his issues because he thought it was something he couldn't help, similar to Duff's own problems? Or did he say anything else?

Yes, I meant the bit in his book about how he thought Axl had a chemical imbalance that was beyond his control. I went back and looked, and there's also a passage where he talks about how Axl had really major mood swings and it made him have a "hint of danger." It seems to be the same thing others have said - that he really has mood swings and that it is actually scary to be around him when he's angry. There's this in the Rolling Stone interview with Kim Neely:

When Rose is feeling pressured or angry, talking to him is a lot like dodging bullets. He tends to rant, barely stopping for breath, and even the most innocent of comments can set him on edge. It is a distinctly uncomfortable feeling to be in a room alone with Axl Rose and see storm clouds suddenly gather on his face because of something you've just said. It is a feeling of wanting to get

out, fast.

That sounds like what @Lumikki described when she met Axl... Sounds like what I've seen before with an ex. Sounds like when Axl goes nuts on stage because of the sound not working or his ear monitors failing.

Ah damn

Lol, in his drinking days, Slash was a real animal.

He still is. And still likes to talk about it.

 Worse regarding the sexual stories.

I wouldn't say that. Nothing I've ever read about Slash was as fucked up as the kind of stuff you hear about Axl (but who knows if that is even true).

In those interviews you posted, Slash was openly talking about his experiences. So we know that's him, first hand.

Axl never talked much about sex. It was other people, women, who said things and I don't know if I should believe them.

I.e. Adriana Smith has been riding the RQ story for years, always adding a little more spice every time she speaks again.

The only interview can think of when Axl talks about sex is the guns n roses 80s interviews on YouTube, when he talks about his nipple ring and talks about orgasms

I don't really buy that stuff about Axl either. With the exception of him liking to watch two women together (and which guy doesn't?), nothing that is said about him actually comes from him, like @killuridols said. It's mostly all just gossip and sensationalist stories from unreliable sources.

Also, there's the story about Axl getting upset with Buckethead because of the hardcore porn Buckethead was watching in the recording studio. Axl was disturbed by it and wanted Buckethead to get rid of it. Now I don't exactly know what kind of sick shit Buckethead is into, but the fact that Axl was so disturbed by it shows he can't be all that kinky.

And let's not forget that Axl talked about having to buy the... equipment for the ISE video with Earl. So clearly he didn't just have that kind of stuff lying around at home already either.

My money's on Axl being way tamer than people like to claim. Slash's probably worse (but not really all that bad either, I think he just likes to talk a lot and look cool, like @starlight said).

Duff's thought it was beyond Axl's control for a long time. In this interview from 1988, he basically says Axl is an asshole sometimes, but he'll apologize later and he "can't help it". (Also LOL @ "Dan":lol:)

Slash and Duff in this interview also say that you really, really don't want to be around Axl when he's in one of his moods:

Slash and Duff in this interview also say that you really, really don't want to be around Axl when he's in one of his moods:

I think Axl may have been really kinky in the past but I don't know if as exaggerated as those women make it sound. All guys are nasty and dirty in bed anyway. Maybe those girls didn't have much experience

About Buckethead porn, lol, I don't know why but that guy always reminded me of Michael Jackson. Weirdo in that sense. If Axl was disturbed by his porn, it probably was bestiality or pedophilia kind of thing.

And omg Duff and Slash from that era are just like Beavis & Butthead  and you can tell when those two teamed up to shit on Axl, they were really mean. Really MEAN :max:

So I have no doubts Axl is right when he says he didn't feel appreciated by them or that they bullied him. It pretty much looks like that from that video. Also, there's another video where Duff is screaming to Axl "stupid, hey stupid". Axl is riding a bike...

But don't get me wrong. I'm sure all of this was mostly due to drugs and alcohol. Look at Slash in that interview, he's almost falling from the sofa. "When the band was all on heroin..." comes to my mind. For sure, they fought a lot and I'm not saying Axl was an angel. I don't doubt either that he had a temper and got into a lot of shit with them but who knows how things really started. If Duff & Slash acted like in that video with Axl, it's easy to figure out why Axl would be a jerk to them.

It's funny too they say in the interview that they don't believe they're gonna last together for 10 years, 10 months, not even 10 weeks. So deep inside they knew the band was going to implode anytime.

the thing Axl said about orgasms was drawing the line on cuckolding

was there even a term for it back then?

I don't know, maybe @-W.A.R- thinks the idea of Axl liking to watch a woman receive an orgasm from another guy (or woman) is worse than he originally thought. :D

I on the other hand am starting to get an idea of why Axl likes having Slash around so much in such situations. Probably liked to watch Slash fuck girls or something  (Although in Adriana's story he wanted to have passed out Slash in bed with him... that's even weirder :P)

Also, the way he says "It's a beautiful thing" there at the end and his grin always make me laugh :rofl-lol:

Lol, I agree about Buckethead giving off creepy Michael Jackson vibes. Always felt the same way. Not sure if it would really have to be as bad as child porn, bestiality or anything like that though to disturb Axl.

And yes, that interview is a great example of how things were starting to go wrong already. "He's... a good singer..." Really? They sure needed some time to come up with anything better or nicer to say, and even then Slash's "but we love him too" wasn't all that convincing.

I'm not trying to say Axl's an innocent victim either (I love Axl, Slash, Duff and Izzy pretty equally), but if they were like that to him often, it's not hard to see why Axl felt unloved.

whats worse than i remember was hes talking about seeing that happen to the person "he loves".....though you inadvertently bring up a good point Lum.....he didn't clarify whether that "someone else" was a male or female (if its a female then it isn't bad)...its def weird if he likes watching other guys banging his girl though

truly i think he was talking out of his ass trying to sound sophisticated/cultured or something

I can't see why Axl saying he likes to see a woman receive an orgasm from another man is any different to watching porn, really.

I think that interview with Slash and Duff proves how snidey Slash could be, like taking the piss out of Axl behind his back. He did a lot of that. Like people say though, Axl did many things to provoke it, but I still think it's a shitty thing to do to someone you're meant to be mates with :/.

Never heard Axl take the piss out of any of them, Hes said negative things but never really ridiculed them. Imo.

Yeah, well my first thought on that was that he meant the orgasm was given by another woman, because he was talking before about watching two girls having sex. But it could also be like you say, that someone else he actually means "Slash". If we start to put little bits together, we can build the puzzle: these words, the picture of Axl, Slash and girls in bed, what Adriana said about dragging Slash to the bed with her and Axl, the stories of Axl waiting for Slash to pass out and get his girls... It looks like Axl loves "used" girls. He was always fucking someone else's gf (Steven, Slash). Probably because he didnt feel anything for those girls.

I'm not so sure he would feel the same about Erin . I mean, wasn't him the jealous guy after David Bowie or Tom Zutaut just because he thought they were flirting with Erin? It's a contradictory behavior, nonetheless, probably just bragging on the interview. We know Axl doesn't always say the truth, right? NOT IN THIS LIFETIME proves it all

------

Can someone make me an animated gif of Axl hugging West Arkeen? Please?@Carlycosmos or @Andy14 or any of the girls who always have cool gifs? (it's in that video -W.A.R.- posted)
Come on...

Exactly my thoughts!!

If you're not romantically involved with said woman, if you don't have any love interest with her, then I guess you can dissociate yourself and watch it, just like it was porn.

BTW we are on the page 69! woooh :rofl-lol:
