Still looking. Seems like the STL fans are starved for a GNR show. It's good to see, but the Pit tickets are difficult to come by. Ticketmaster finally opened up the Pit on Duff's side for $250. Just upgraded to there. Yay!
Fitha_whiskey
I just got a notification on FB that the start time for the show has been moved up to 6pm? Wtf? That's hella early. It didn't say anything about adding a 3rd band or anything. Anybody know what's up with that?

I was just coming here to post this....but more than likely it is due to the fact that Guns N Roses is planning on playing a longer set than they had planned on when the show was originally scheduled. So, they need to start shit earlier in order to end by Curfew.

They definitely don't wanna fuck around with any curfews on this one...

I agree it seems to assure no curfew issues if, they wanna keep the show going a little longer.
bigcountry
I wish I could go but its my wife and I will be in Florida on our 25 anniversary. I bet attendance will take a hit due to the cardinals playing at 6 that evening also not that there doing really good or anything but people go 35-42,000 a game. This was a big fuck up in scheduling if you ask me but it may have been the only date they could play STL. Capacity for the dome without the end stage setup is around 90,000 not for sure about the end stage capacity I would expect it to be closer to 70,000. Fitha_whiskey
Hmmm... I gotta check the map on those street closures. Our hotel is in that mess somewhere I think... I wonder if they're closing those streets for a block party type thing or something? Hopefully people post where they're pregaming on Thursday. I'll be roaming around having a few pops. It'd be cool to meet some forum peeps around...
cqleonardo
I really want them to start the show with Rocket Queen with Axl saying something "where did we stop last time?" or on Rocket Queen he starts screaming "HEY, TAKE THAT, TAKE THAT" and says "I'm just kidding" HAHAHHA
telly
I think Cole/Carr/6th streets are closed for buses & semi's to park. Convention plaza is always closed on event days. Rams usually had some tents/etc set up across street east of the dome on broadway. i'd imagine KSHE will be broadcasting around there but no idea, to be honest. VIP parking is in lot on Convention plaza so don't think anything will be there.

I've been to a Cardinals game before, but never to anything by the Dome...

I would doubt that there's going to be a party area but very few concerts at the Dome so I don't have much to draw on. I assume the VIP stuff will be inside since forecast is 90+ and possible thunderstorms. At Rams games, couple of bars/hotels had beer carts out along broadway selling so imagine they would for this. 1 hour ago, bjasmund said: Any ideas where the band may be staying? I don't know but would think the Ritz in Clayton. there's a four seasons at the Lumiere but thats right across the street from the dome. I'm pretty sure they will be in a hotel in each city. Why "commute" to/from Chicago and where would they go after sound check and before the show? EX- Stay in Chicago for a week, fly in/out of show cities within an hour or 2. I have no clue o Guns plan, just saying that's how some bands do it. Even Zep would do a big US tour while hubbing in like 4-5 cities total. I know Jovi will do mini hubs.
IncitingChaos
i hope there's another riot so St Louis can get rid of that stupid dome. But if not this show will mark the return of the rasp!
TheHelgo
Just an FYI to those coming to St. Louis. I live near there and am somewhat familiar with the city. There are several bars within walking distance on Washington Street - most of them are west of the Dome, but there is a small Irish pub place about a block or so south east. There is also a nice casino (Lumiere) almost right across the street from the Dome to the East. Attached to the casino is the 4 Seasons Hotel, and I would not be surprised if the band is staying there. My guess is that there will be a lot of GN'R fans walking up and down Washington Street on Thursday late afternoon and it won't be hard to find pre-show fans to mingle with.

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn on the west side of the Dome, so should be perfect...
