And The Sun is not exactly reliable, I believe. Axl watched a boxing game under loud music and had a few pints with some company (including Tom Jones, but okay )- no big deal, really. He's not a monk, he doesn't have a habit problem with alcohol and... he was in London. Axl and Alison Mosshart must have (at least) met since some time now. She played with Dead Weather at the Bridge School concert the same year Axl gave that awful performance and The Kills played Coachella when GnR played there too. They also share the same acquaintances or "friends": apart from Andrei, I saw a picture of her with the Nurah Khan guy (or whatever his name is); and her partner in The Kills is Kate Moss's ex (this made him worth mentioning by The Sun ) and it seems he's in these circles too. So maybe they just know each other or they are kinda friends. But even if @Tori72's source was right (and he may have been -it's interesting that, besides Andrei, Fernando and Del, ie. the whole Axl team, came out to watch The Kills show), I think it's not bad at all. I wouldn't realistically expect someone like Axl to hook up with a woman in her 50s, so a woman around 40 is a good and reasonable fit for him.* Moreover she's a musician in her own right. From what I've heard, I like some of her music. Nothing super-great or special, but good stuff (acts like that don't fit well for a stadium show though, and, although the GnR fan base is diverse musically, the majority is more responsive to bands like Tyler Bryant and such). And she loves The Velvet Underground, which makes her automatically cool in my book * EDIT: It's also positive that the models are out of the picture, at least at the shows. Maybe it has something to do with the backlash about this thing after the US concerts and they finally realized that it's not good for the band's image. Not saying everything they reported about Axl is a lie, just it will be exaggerated. I quite liked The Kills set at London Stadium, Tyler Bryant was better received by the majority, though. I really hated their set, it was just the most unimaginative generic crap rock ever. I much preferred The Kills, seems I'm in the minority haha! Hmmmm, Axl and the Lady from The Kills.. this is a funny one because whilst they could be friends from playing the same circuits, it's still very unAxl-like to hang around with someone like that so much. She's backstage with him, she gets to watch the shows from side of stage, she is then out with him and clearly going back to wherever he is going at 6am in the morning Meanwhile, there's no sign of TB, or the other assorted hangers on, like Jordan the trainer. Without their stupid base drum I would have actually been able to listen to the music but with a sound out of proportion and balance you hear only shit. The Kills blew the PA out at London Stadium She was really late to the stage anyway, then their equipment fucked everything up lol. When have they ever shown so much interest in a support act? Maybe they know "something" is going on, and they want to be supportive or whatever. Honestly though, I also don't hate the idea of Axl and Miss Mosshart. Seems a huge step up from intelligent 20 year old models. Also klicking on that Sun link led me to an article (or rather a picture) of Ronnie Wood with his twin babies. Apparently he is married to a 39 year old and has two little daughters with her. That makes the age gap between Axl and Alison Mosshart seem downright normal. And maybe there's still a chance for Axl to pass his genes on too Anyway, Axl & Alison (Alixl?) have my blessing lol. (But then again so do Axl & Melissa, Axl & Erin, Axl & Slash, Axl & Izzy, Axl & Duff,.... ) BUT. Let's not forget about Beta & Tom Jones.
