Wow, Scarlett opening for Todd Kerns. Duff's daughter doing Download, plus a whole bunch of other festivals this summer in Europe. All these kids doing cool things. Lucky too to have supportive parents!

Yeah, they are setting up the kids in the music business

Lucille Ball said she was a big fan of nepotism. I say why not? The music business isn't about talent anymore, it's more about entertainment.

I don't have elements to say they are talentless.

They are teenagers and are experimenting while they are given the chance to play with their parents.

Not sure this is nepotism but if them kids want to be musicians, I don't see how else they should start getting involved in music.

It's nepotism without a doubt- no way Grace's band opens for GnR or plays at the 2018 festivals without Duff's influence. That being said- who cares? Nepotism generally only gets your foot in the door. Unlikely that this:

will become the next big thing. Let them have their fun, this is the most impact they are ever likely to have.

Practicing their music and booking their own gigs without help from anyone else is a great way to get involved. I find it disturbing that they are getting stuff like gigs handed to them just because they are related to people in the music industry. Shouldn't a band's hard work and efforts pay off when a gig is landed because they did it all themselves? Just my two cents on the subject.

Not gonna lie, listened to the pink slips properly today and all I can say is errrrrm it’s really not my cup of tea (the comment by Duff or Susan about sound proofing their basement so they can’t hear the band practising came to mind 😂). Wasn’t keen on the music but I thought Scarlet did a great job and good on her for having the confidence to do that at such a young age.

On the nepotism thing...I think having the famous parents can only open so many doors. If people aren’t feeling the music and records aren’t selling then I guess you can only go so far. But they are young so let them have their fun.

The Beta photobomb on this photo made me laugh....TB lurking around every corner 😂 plus Axl with his resting bitch face.

They do practice. Or at least that's what you can see from some of the videos they are always posting :shrugs:

I don't see how it is bad that if you want to be a musician and your parents are musicians you have to reject their help and advice just because some other people do not have the same chances as you.

In a lot of other fields children learn a profession along their parents. Like family businesses are always passed onto the children and some vocations too. Parents who are doctors oftenly have children who become doctors or lawyers or journalists or accountants too and inherit their clients/patients.

Can't see what's the difference with this particular field.... If they are so bad they will not suceed, not matter how much the parents work out their influences.

Music business is a highly competitive world.

It's 2012 in Tel Aviv.

He is drunk.
