Lillie
Some interesting songs(imo) as a comment to the conversation about good and evil.... I won't discuss witchcraft, cause i need darker music background 8 hours ago, Alja said: Not that ridiculous At first, if people already have religious beliefs, they are prone to believe anything else, to say, occult. With some theatrical abilities is really easy to convince people that you possess some kind of invisible powers. If you outsmart most of them and/or you are a bit weird, you are considered black mage or witch by them. Those people are taught that there are invisible powers going on, like there's Jesus fighting devil and stuff, but they aren't taught how to cope with it when their shit goes emotional. When things seriously derail, people are even more prone to believe/trust in things like that because they are basically helpless in the middle of something which they cannot grab and control. Or they want some kind of easy way to get relationship, wealth, get rid of unwanted people, all kinds of stuff... some magical solution for their life gone way they really don't like. They can dig deep if conventional religion doesn't work for that and become a death-frighten victim of some twisted mind. The thing is things can go nasty really easily when you don't control it with logic. And you want things done but stay nice guy, don't you? And guy who is married to a "light worker" and stuffs his home with talismans would easily believe in basically anything. Usually these light workers (that everything nice, sugar and spice kind of people,) summon angels and saints and good spirits, depends on religious frame. And usually do healing stuff or some rituals to bring positive things. *here's a kitty

Thanks for the video. I hadn't seen it before and it has a similar vibe of his rant in Donnington around 2006. As weird as it is, I enjoy those demonstrations that Axl isn't completely domesticated, that there's still some sparkle, some rebellion, some unreasonable behavior on him. Not like I have real appreciation for those behaviours but in the sense that it brings me familiarity and helps me to connect how he presents himself now with how he used to come across in the 80's and 90's. I went to the concert in Malaysia about 2 weeks ago and what struck me the most was how Axl complained with staff almost the entire show (no idea why). It was funny to see, although surely not fun to who was on the other side of the line. There it goes a bit of my experience about the concert, althought somehow I have this concert in a haze : Firstly, it was a bit unusual because only the travellers arrived early; the locals very slowly started showing up about 4 hs before the concert. After the doors opened and everyone had chosen their spots at rail, there were still some room at front row to squeeze more people, if they bothered to push for it (which they didn't). I am not complaining at all because it was very comfortable but I wasn't expecting that. About 1h before the start, there was pretty much only the front row in the pit. When the concert started, the pit was filled but not packed. I believe that one of the reasons was that the price for the ticket was the same of Europe, which might be heavy for Malaysian standards (just my assumption here). The venue was amazing, it was really like Disneyland. It had rained and when the band entered the stage, Axl started angrily giving instructing to cover the stage with carpets as to avoid them to slip on the wet floor. Axl has this little control table that he switches the microphone to the public or to the band. So he goes to the back of the stage and, during the instrumental parts of ISE, he kept shouting instructions thought the mic, pointing directions, staff rushing around the stage, like 5-6 people finishing the set up while the band was already playing. Those big carpets were very logical considering the rain and I don't know why it had not been done before. Still, something was not up to his standard and Axl kept ranting into his mic for the first 2 hours of the show. At some points, he also complained to Duff and Slash, as a way to share his frustration. I never figured out what was the problem(s). However, to the crowd, he was smiley, waving, acknowledging some fans he's used to see in the pit, etc. He seemed to be in a good mood and in a good state of mind. Axl's voice was good, he put a good show. I had past-trauma with TIL and Nightrain but this time was decent. He had some problems in parts, especially with Coma and Civil War, but I can live with it. Slash mesmerises me with his playing but, as usual, he kept very much to himself. Duff and Fortus are officially the public relations on stage! Actually, I'm growing fond of Fortus because I like his playing and he's so passionate with his guitar and so friendly with the crowd. I met this nice fan in the queue who had flown from Europe to attend 3 concerts in Asia and, by chance, she met Duff when he was sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur. He was really nice: he autographed her arm (and she had it tattooed) and stopped to have a small talk with her. He recognised her from seeing her at rail in previous concerts, he asked and she told about her trips following the Guns's shows. He said something on the line that he was surprised by fans doing this sort of things and that himself he couldn't do it. During the concert in Malaysia, he acknowledging her and saw that she had tattooed his autography. I found it all very sweet. 8
killuridols
Thank you @GingerHair for your input on that show!! I have not been following this last leg so I have no idea how these shows have been. I'm glad you got to see them in such a different place, that's always a plus to the whole thing, makes it more exciting! As for Axl, I'm glad he kept it all through the internal Mic and didnt make the audience part of his stage rants... I've grown tired of men throwing tantrums and acting like tough shit so I'm not fond of those things and dont miss it at all.... so good to know that, while it seems he's still bothered by little things, he can keep a certain level of coolness and dont get so riled up during a show..... I suppose that kind of shit doesnt do him any good either!! Getting upset it increases your chances of heart attack, lol

It's just that, in the case of Axl, his looks are so different, his voice is not the same, he isn't late for show, he doesn't even cancel shows even he's ill !!! So, at least, when he throws a tantrum, I feel like I can roll my eyes and say: ' ok, that's Axl'. But I completely agree with you that it isn't good for him and neither for the energy of the people working both on and off stage. I remember thinking at some point of the concert in Malaysia: can not he just let it go?

I remember thinking at some point of the concert in Malaysia: can not he just let it go? I don't think Axl can let it go lighthearted. Axl cares. His f*ck distribution is all or zero and nothing in between and onstage it's always "all". If someone can get hurt because of slippery stage or equipment can be damaged or the show is not going 110% because of sound problems or something is going wrong in the crowd or whatever, he goes for solution. He did so in Berlin, he went to the back parts of stage during instrumentals and you could see he is worry, strict, organizing and demanding until the possible maximum is reached (otherwise he would have fun with front rows people). It actually gave a strange vibe at least to first half of the show, not to say it definitely broke through KOHD towards the end of shortened set. As he got with the fact it won't go better and the sound will be bad until the end, he actually settled and regained his balance and shine back. Sometimes is better a short intense stress than have a long-term stress from remorse.

Popular Post Georgina Arriaga
@Andy14 thank you! A very recent Slash interview (in Hong Kong) https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/108701974/slash-sex-drugs-and-tiny-bicycles Quote The way Slash tells it, he's gotten a second chance. He's been through the fires and come out the other side: a happy, healthy, creative soul, touring with two bands he loves - his solo project with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators and of course, his old comrades Guns N' Roses, the rest of whom are scattered around the same Hong Kong hotel as we speak, resting up before tomorrow night's show. "I feel blessed, for sure. After these last Guns N' Roses shows, I'll be back down in New Zealand with my own band, and it's always really good to get back together with those guys. The two projects are inter-related, but it's hard to say how one complements the other. I just love the fact that I got my own band as well as that other huge one, and it's all going on at the same time. It's amazing man, and pretty unexpected. I've been in other band set-ups over the years as well as solo, but the Guns thing has just been, like… Wow! What can I tell you, man? It's been a trip!" Quote Friendly. Thoughtful. Polite. What can I tell you? The dude was lovely. "Hey, how you doin'?" he says, sounding implausibly chipper after a long flight. He's just arrived in Hong Kong, where he has a big show tomorrow with Guns N' Roses. You may have heard of them. "Man, I can't believe it. This tour has spanned two whole years, and now we only have five more gigs. It's crazy! It all started out with us agreeing to do just one show, then turned into this whole huge thing." Quote "What can I tell you, man? It's been a gas. I was the last person you'd expect to rejoin this band if you'd talked to me a couple years ago, but it's been one of the most amazing experiences I ever had. Just so much f…ing fun, you know?" 3 1
