In recent years the strategy seems to be to identify the most laughable, unelectable mess they have in the party and make them leader.

The one before Corbyn resembled a village idiot and had a terrible speech impediment. He famously ate a bacon sandwich, rather clumsily.

Now there's some British chompers on Philips :P:lol:

How do they elect their leaders?

Also, is labour not whipped on issues like second referendum?

They elect their leaders as follows.

https://www.itv.com/news/2019-12-18/how-does-a-labour-leadership-election-work/

Labour would surely have been whipped on a second referendum but they would have to get it to a vote in parliament for that to even be a consideration. Since Corbyn was about as much use as a pair of tits on a tarantula that was never going to happen.

Speaking of the party whip btw, Jeremy Corbyn defied the whip 428 times during the last Labour government so why the fuck would anybody listen to him anyway?

Edit. Fuck you! Jess Phillips is great!

You voted for Corbs Dazey haha! You have certainly changed your tune.

I voted against Boris in a rock solid Tory seat. Not really the same thing. I think I've been pretty consistent in my criticism of Corbyn on here unless you can find any posts that state otherwise.

*runs away to rapidly search through post history and rectify any contradictory statements just like Dieseldaisy did about Brexit.

How can you have that on your conscious, that you voted on an antisemitic Marxoid IRA sympathizer?

You voted to destroy what's left of our agricultural industry. I voted for Andrew Western*.

*whoever the fuck that is.

Jess Philips is an ultra-feminist. Yip, that will really win those northern heartlands back for your party Daze.

I have never voted in my life.

Jess Phillips at least has something about her. The rest are just uninspiring and fucking wet. Also the only people who are scared by feminism are sad little men with little dicks (who don't vote).

Edit. How are they my party? I've openly admitted to having one off the wrist to Thatcher in the last couple of pages.

That may be so but a bra-burner isn't going to win back those northern heartlands for you?

She did pretty well in her constituency and she's not a mental hard left Corbynite. In all honesty I don't have an answer to all this but I think she at least has a fucking head on her shoulders. Labour aren't winning the next election barring a miracle anyway but I'd at least love to see her at PMQs pretending that we have an actual opposition.

The solution would have been to actually support the opinions of your constituents and support Brexit. Unfortunately for Labour, so long as they are a remainer Waitrose fudge, they will never connect with the north-midlands.

Really? Fucking hell!

You'll be saying the sight of Theresa May's gangly legs gets the trousers twitching next.

The very thought of running though fields of wheat gives me a creeper!

10 seconds of this and little Dazey looks like a baby's arm holding an aubergine!

Got to say. At no point did she even pause to draw breath in response to the interviewer's questions. She may have been evil but she was magnificent!

Ian Lavery might throw his hat in, near my constituency (he nearly lost his seat also). Socialist bruiser mining background Bennite Eurosceptic - probably the last of them now that Campbell and Skinner have left the building. That is the most obvious route to recapturing the northern heartlands, but Labour will risk creating a reverse scenario of losing London's Waitrose set with a Geordie running proceedings.

Won't get it on account of his accent.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone slick like Starmer gets it. A barrister, he's dull and effective at the dispatch box but is an ultra-remainer and one of the main reasons behind Labour trying to hold a second referendum.

If he became leader it could spell the end for Labour.

It would be like Jimmy Nail at the dispatch box.
