$310 t-shirts. That is 250 quid!! For a t-shirt!!

That is 10 times my t-shirt spend limit. The four thousand dollar jackets were my favourite. If someone is willing to pay that for clothing, then I have some magic beans they may be interested in.....

Dang...

$90 for a Bravado tee?!

Their designs are the best thing so what on earth are they printed them on to justify that price point?!

The other stuff is always gonna be those eye watering luxury prices but can't see why they were charging what they were for the Bravado gear

I love the music and original vibe of Guns n' Roses. I saw them open for Aerosmith in 1988, then Gilby's first show in 1991 followed by a GNR/ Metallica show in 1992.

I then followed and supported all of the members solo efforts and endeavors.

I was so excited to see the band reunite last year that I moved heaven and earth to hustle my way into The Troubadour show- which was great.

Then I saw them at Dodgers Stadium. It was expensive (as we know) and kind of "professional" and by the numbers, but still (super pricey) nostalgic fun.

Now, over a year later we have no new music nor word of any new music, the tour continues (with the same show apart from a few tunes) and the tickets have become out of reach financially to the blue collar, real people who made them successful in the first place.

Ok. Fine.

But today....Oh man, today I went to their pop up store in Hollywood. Can anyone of you justify the prices on this shit? $1650 for a GNR bag to put your $4200 jacket and $1100 t shirt in?

I'm hard pressed to think of another band that has lost its way more than Guns n' Roses. That doesn't take away from my love of "Out Ta Get Me", "Garden of Eden" or "Rocket Queen", but it does mean that I'm going to put my blinders on because they are 100% in the Vegas Elvis period now.

Goddammit.

I don't know how many of these they are actually selling, however if I could rack in the cash getting people to pay that much I would sure as hell do the exact same thing, with zero hesitation lol

It's disgusting and has taken most of the fun out of the whole current lineup and their tour. I was excited at first as my signature implies and I did enjoy the show I went to, but the more this lineup has milked the fans and did just embarrassing shit has made me lose respect for Axl, Duff and Slash. At least Axl with NuGNR had some passion for continuing the band forward and wanted new music. This current lineup is the opposite of what Axl wanted to be even as recent as 2010. It's frustrating. I respected Axl more going downhill with NuGNR in '14 for having a portion of integrity.

It's all about milking the legacy and fans but don't kid yourself, Axl in 2014 was doing Vegas residency shows. There was ZERO integrity in what he was doing in 2014. There's been zero integrity to what Axl has been doing since 2006 basically. Even the album was released with little to no integrity.

Am I the only one that's really fucking sick of seeing shit with the original lineup on it? Either have them involved in the reunion or leave their faces off shit to line your pockets. It's unfair to Izzy and Steven and also unfair to Richard, Frank, Dizzy and Melissa - even if I'm not a fan of the latter bunch they are THE members of GN'R in their respective roles at this current period of time.

Your not wrong, but at least Axl stuck to his guns about the whole "no reunion with Slash" thing. I'm not upset they reunited but I'm upset that they're "friendship" seems to be for purposes of milking the globe.

In the king's defense, he release new material constantly, much of it of high quality, and his voice was always superb.

True. I don't really like any of his music after he went into the army, but Elvis did put out a lot of new music throughout the 70's. I just prefer him with the small band and the sense of danger........kinda like GNR used to be.

I have been to Graceland and didn't see any $1100 T shirts or $4200 jackets for sale though.

too much expectations.

there wont be Izzy/ Steven and even if they did, they won't be as dangerous as in 1987. the same applies to new music.

if you expected all that going in, the blame is on you. no such promises were ever given.

but i went to their show in june, and i was blown away by the danger the big three still were able to generate.

Like I said, they are playing their 30 year old songs professionally and it sounds pretty good. Pretty much BETTER than what I expected to be honest. If you're willing to pay hundreds (or thousands) of dollars you can actually see it in person and not just on You Tube.

However.....I'm talking about $1100 T shirts, $1650 bags and $4200 jackets. C'mon. That's beyond uncool and the antithesis of what Guns n' Roses (and US - their community) are supposed to about. It's just gross. Pathetic. Reunion tours are about the money, not the music, and I get that......but DAMN - $1650 bags!!!!!!

The only danger Guns N' Roses now possess is to people's credit card balance.

Guns are now really just one slight step away from Kiss. When the reunion fizzles out we'll see if they will end up on cruises or back in Vegas.

It is ironic that Guns N' Roses told Paul Stanley to bugger off in 1986 because Stanley wanted to re-write their stuff in order to commercialise it. Guns were full of this stuff in their heyday about 'not compromising their integrity'. The irony!!

disagree.

though they have fallen deep down the awesomness ladder, were they ever dangerous when i saw them live in june.

there is too  much youtube in the world these days, we're spoiled now. it further erodes their danger and mystique. mistakes and imperfections are blown up in size, and it massively detracts from the experience.

we don't have to buy a 1000$ t shirt, we dont have to watch frank whatshisface or the dancing blue rabbit. i went there and only payed attention to the big three. i make my own experiences, i cherry pick the best moments that can still be experienced.

don't miss out on it, before it's too late.

That's the thing....it's already too late. The Nightrain has left the station.

Cool, but why make a new thread when there's already a perfectly good one with a load of complaining in it?!

To be fair, you might be the first person on the whole forum that's actually physically visited the store.

But still, how about some photos at least? Goddamnit!

That shirt, 1989 print of the 4 concerts with the Stones at the Coliseum, IS NOT WORTH $1100.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-Guns-n-Roses-Stoned-in-L-A-1989-Concert-T-Shirt-Size-M-Deadstock-/232443369683?hash=item361eb458d3:g:hvIAAOSwwVRZjTCw

A couple years ago, was worth half that.

What the fuck is Fernando thinking? What a load of bullshit surrounding this band. Once again. Worst nightmare.

Just bring back Teddy and Tracy and Roberta. Then it'll be a full reunion, eh Axl? One that you'll like. You alone.
