Fair enough. You can believe what you want about Axl. What he did will forever taint his reputation in the eyes of many, sometimes a person can never fix that no matter how they live their life after.

Good story though. There's a podcast of some guy in LA, he met Axl at a cigar shop in early to mid 2000's. He has no idea who he's talking to but apparently Axl goes on to tell him a story about taking a girl up to his room. He gets her there and she goes into the restroom..Axl doesn't think much of it but  he's sitting there waiting and watching tv, some infomercial comes on (I can't remember what it was) but he gets this terrible feeling, he knows something is wrong..so the girl comes out of the bathroom and Axl says "you have to go..get out" she tries to stay but he has a body guard escort her away. Apparently they get to the lobby and the girls mom was waiting for her. Their plan was to accuse Axl of something and force him into a settlement.

Its a great story the way the guy tells it, I tried to sum it up but the best part is the commercial that freaks Axl out. (I think it was a date rape service announcement)

I've never heard of this but it sounds like typical patriarchal made up BS.

Was the girl underage? If she was, that's his mistake and he's commiting a crime if he knows it and allows it to happen.

A decent man woul never do that. No matter who's out there trying "to get him". No one can get you when you don't put yourself in the criminal path (this goes for everything, not just sexual crimes).

Not underage, just praying on rich individuals who would rather give you $20,000 than get stuck in a he said she said.

Who knows if the story is true but you can go listen to the podcast. It's pretty funny. The guy said he asked Axl what he does for a living and he said he was in a band. The guy kind of laughed at him and was thinking "yea I'm sure this guy is getting lots of women with his little band" then he gets into finding out it was Axl Rose. This was in 2004 I think, so you can imagine why someone might not notice him

And you think that a man who pays to shut someone up instead of fighting for his innocence is a sign of him evolving as a person?

I'd say all the contrary!

Yeah, it sounds like a BS story to me. Kinda weird Axl would be telling something like that to a stranger and also fucking weird that someone didnt recognize him, at least as a celebrity person. Does Axl buy his cigars at places frequented by regular Joe's?

Something about it doesnt sound right to me.

Considering Rose and Slash were on the run from the cops in the 80s for having it off with underage girls at their seedy garage, I doubt Rose cared.

And you dont even need to go all the way back to the 80s.

There are plenty of examples of young girls being picked from the shows by that Andrei guy to join the Axl after parties, as far back as 2016.

When your lawyers cost as much as the settlement and you are strongly advised to not go thru a trial where the woman will be favored then sometimes it's the right move. Especially if you are famous. Regardless you'll be the loser no matter if it's true or not.

It was a cigar bar or something. We have pictures of Axl with a cigar in his mouth from 2002 so I don't think it's unreasonable. Not sure why you would make up a story about Axl Rose..it's not terribly interesting unless you're a fan. Could be fake though, but the guy does podcast about anything but rockstars so it's interesting that that story made it in there.

He mentioned Axl warming to the fact that the guy had no idea who he was. So maybe that's why he was sharing a story.

So he cant have sex with anyone because all women are out to get him?

I dont think so and I dont believe a woman will be favored if there are no elements to accuse a man of raping or violence.

All the contrary, I dont know any celebrity from Hollywood who is or was doing time because of this. Most celebrity men involved in sexual abuse or domestic violence have been forgiven and forgotten.

Not all just some haha

look I'm not a celebrity I don't know what it's like to have a ton of money. It's just not unreasonable in my mind to imagine someone trying to make a gain off you Bc of your status. There are innocent and guilty celebs as well as guilty and innocent women.

I know but in my opinion I don't think it is so easy to fabricate things like that if your line of conduct is impeccable.

A guy like Duff would never be involved in such shit (i want to believe crossing my fingers to not get disappointed).

That kind of stuff happens when you have a tendency to walk the thin line of what's legal and illegal. If you are an adult man with a weakness for underage girls, its just about time til they catch you or someone picks up on your weakness and put themselves out to prey on you.

I just don't know how this turned into a conversation on underage girls.

I gotta stop following this band haha
