wasted
City have 3 champions league teams. But it might be close. Chelsea could also challenge after Sari gets a few more in Jan.

Even with new buys in January I wouldn't expect to see them play much.

Like when DSilva gets injured City will have B Silva or someone to come in. Sterling/Sane. If Hazard is out itsa problem. City though everything in place already so hard to see them not winning it. Chelsea need a few more players even if they just play the cup comps or a few games. Like if Alonso is out. It took some new guys months to be introduced after their arrival and even the president questioned that.

Liverpool got more depth in with Keita, Fabinho, Shaqiri. Because theres so many games having extra players up to standard is more important than a system. Sarri will get to the Xmas period games and realize. Pep will be fielding fresh 11s all season. Can’t remember if Chelsea in Champs league this season but that’s always a problem. That’s why Mourinho was moaning. He needs 5-8 top quality players to compete in League, 2 cups, champions league. Sometimes you look at Utd and Arsenal and think they only have 2-3 players better than Everton and West ham. They might have better managers but to win it you need the players. 40 champions league players. Then a manager like Pep or Sari or Mourinho. Juventino
Chelsea are in the Europa League. And it will be something Sarri has to work out. But it is easy to forget, since he is not the youngest, that he hasn't actually been coaching at this level for very long. His first Serie A experience was with Empoli in 2014. Napoli was his first time coaching a team at the top and dealing with Europe at the same time. It's a different kettle of fish to coaching in Serie C or B. True, I think Mourinho likes an A team or did with Chelsea. But Pep seems to be rotation master. And the players don’t mind too much. It’s really a strength to be able to win without De Brunye. There’s 2 cup comps in English league too. So Sarri will have to decide to change the team. But in the last part of season it might be good to have a couple of fresh players. But they also have a lot of dead weight to shed They need another striker too. Bale, MBappe, Zaha. They shouldn’t have sold him. Perfect down the left. Cover for Sanchez. I’ve always wanted to see what Mourinho could do with Balotelli. Balo did pretty well this is just before the City transfer They seem like the perfect fit. Utd have so many good players but I look at the team sheet it doesn’t look good or right. City have Fernandinho, De Brun, Silva it just seems right. Matic, Herrera, Pogba - i guess it’s just Herrara and Pog just aren’t as dangerous as Brun and Silva. AtariLegend
There's alot of things to despise about England, but that band that's been playing that same out off tune nonsense in the background forever may be the worst. Never thought much of it as a child, but it's really annoying to me now. It's much worse than vuvuzela's.

No it wasn't, this is an alternative route to Euro 2020 qualifying. It's just a friendly was a bad excuse against Belgium at the World Cup twice and it's even worse here. Still have to play Spain again away and two games against Croatia. Edited September 9, 2018 by AtariLegend

They have to win this whole pre tournament of friendlies to pre qualify? I think they need to have a more normal formation. 3-1-3-2-1 makes me feel sick. wasted
Now they are just playing Leicester players because the game is at Kings Power. I really just want a normal formation now. It could just be a team of full backs. Butland Walker, Stones, Maguire, Rose Trippier, Henderson, Dier, Shaw Ali Kane

spunko12345
Rutland keeps kicking it short to the left CB to try and get Swiss to press on and beat the first 3 attackers but the Swis guys are onto it and they just don't fucking bother pressing. So England are left with the ball by the fucking corner flag with 11 players to get past.

wasted
I think there’s 4 leagues. The way the groups are set with all top teams in League A, then B is good teams, C is okay teams, D rubbish. But the winner from each league will NOT qualify directly for Euros. What they gain is to be drawn in seperate groups from one another in the real Qualifying Euro groups that start in March 2019. Weirdly if you win league B, you will be in league A next tournament. And they relegate teams from A to B etc. What it means more than anything is that a rubbish team in league D can avoid the winner of league A in the actual Qualifiers for the Euros. Maybe. On the bright side you have 2 other much easier games in the group left. For anyone suggesting these were friendlies, well Spain has probably already won the group unless they lose all their remaining games by big scorelines. Meaning they're basically already in the playoffs at least regardless of what happens during Euro 2020 qualifying after just two games.
