Gackt
He was a seriously prolific guy, I'm surprised he got his start with Bowie on Space Oddity, a big milestone..he left a serious impact on the industry, and will be missed by many within it. https://www.discogs.com/artist/289733-Paul-Buckmaster?filter_anv=0&type=Credits
GNR 1991
Bowie, Elton, and four tracks from Chinese. Would be nice for Axl and Dizzy to play tribute to him by dusting off The Blues.

AxlRoseCDII
The orchestral arrangements on these tracks were part of what made me fall in love with Chinese to begin with. Many notable contributions with a busy life- may he be remembered.

CAFC Nick
Ah that sucks. How I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall during some of the discussions/studio work with Axl.

It's very sad to see Buckmaster pass. Does anyone know if he done any work on CD II tracks by any chance? I don't know much about the man, but i do love his work on CD. Marco Beltrami, however, did arrangements for four other songs in "Seven", "Thyme", "The General" and "Leave Me Alone". None of which ended up on CD. EDIT: According to the CD booklet, Beltrami is also credited as orchestra/arrangements on the four Buckmaster CD tracks PLUS "This I Love". Kind of confusing but I assume Axl hired Marco to add more stuff to Buckmasters strings? Edited November 9, 2017 by GNR 1991

It's possible Buckmaster made the original arrangements, but then Beltrami was hired to re-record them Like how Brain was forced to re-do Josh Freese's drum parts note for note

They used two real orchestras and three synth orchestras at some of the songs.
