Not even close.  I'm in the nosebleed section.

Added a couple of concerts:

July 11 - Dave Mason/Steve Cropper Rock & Soul Review

Sept. 30 - Eric Burdon & the Animals

Just saw Journey and Def Leppard. Super fun show. Thankfully it was a night where Lep went second. Journey were fun. Arnel Pineda is a beast on the mic and the guys are all solid musicians, but it's a horrendously paced setlist with about 15-20min of instrumentals/solos in a 90min set (like a GNR show!) and they dragged at points. Def Leppard are as good as they've ever been. Seeing Rick Allen drum in person is a sight to behold. The harmonies were stunning. Joe Eliott carries himself like a consummate fucking rock star.

Bottom line: it's a show worth checking out if you get a chance, and if you can choose, go on a night where Journey open and Lep close.

Saw Pearl Jam yesterday at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. These guys absolutely blew me away! I'm by no means a big PJ fan and other than Ten and a few other songs I'm not even that familiar with their stuff. But these guys were absolutely fucking brilliant. One of the best things I've seen in some time. ^_^

Does anybody know where I can buy live recordings of their gigs? Is it through https://pearljam.com/shop/music/bootlegs ? And how long does it take before shows get put up there?

Avenged Sevenfold September 1 Dallas Texas

Still hoping for a Ghost date, but doesn't look like it'll happen this year. Guess I will have to watch the concert on youtube

Saw Def Leppard with Poison and Lita Ford opening for them.

Lita rocked it. Poison is always a good time and Def Leppard rocked it too.

Awesome! How?

Motor City Casino players club card. I wasn't going to go to this show because the prices were ridiculous. It was like $90 - $225 for tickets, so I said fuck that. Then Monday I got an email from the players club saying I could come pick up two tickets for free. Ran down there yesterday assuming it'd be 2 of the lowest price, balcony tickets.  Nope! They gave me Main Floor, General Admission!

Ended up getting free tickets to see Steven Tyler this evening, so I'm going to go do that.

Cool getting free stuff. I'm sure you'll have fun.

I won Linkin Park tickets years ago when they played the Bronco bowl in Dallas. I had to answer a question about the band for the local rock station. I was so happy I actually won something. The concert was awesome!

So it looks like I am flying to London in December and then traveling north to Liverpool to see Cheap Trick play at the Cavern Club.

I've seen Cheap Trick do a few Sgt. Pepper tribute shows at the Hollywood Bowl, so my Cheap Trick x The Beatles experiences are continuing in a fantastic way.

Just saw Neil Young solo 4th row in a theater. It was great. Thought of you, @DieselDaisy

Is this the one?

Very interesting setlist indeed. Homefires is one of those unreleased Young songs that are legendary among aficionados/bootleg collectors. ''Love Is A Rose'' is a lovely little song, Decade. Fair amount of Tonight's the Night - then you get three Le Noise songs in a row! I love Le Noise. Probably Neil's last masterpiece.

Yes, Young had this large sabbatical but seems to be reemerging this year.

This just got better! Paul McCartney announced a show in Liverpool 4 days before the Cheap Trick show. I can't believe I get to see a Beatle in Liverpool. I am beyond excited. I'm also seeing Ringo here in LA at the end of September.
