Watch the clip again. I kinda disagree, technically on the recorded version Matt was late, but in terms of what Slash was playing on stage at that moment Matt was in the right... as far as I'm concerned. If I was starting off a song that way, there's no way I'd expect a drummer to be able to synch up with me perfectly.
