Where I basically run to every other day (not on the sand as there is a cycling track in the dunes),

Looking the other way, towards where I commenced; I think it is about five miles,

Nearby,

I will miss tomorrow but I will be back again Wednesday. This run is basically ''the story'' of my isolation.

I don't think I could live too far from the coast. I am genetically wired to the coast.

Does that not get a bit depressing?

I'm sure you get used to it after a while I guess.

It affects people differently. I am not particularly bothered by it, but I am also a generally content and happy guy who never get stressed out or depressed. Usually, I also travel quite a bit during winter so I break up the monotony of it.

About 15mins extra on my normal run. John Vanbrugh's masterpiece built 1718. Haunted by a White Lady,

Didn't include other wing in photo as it is being renovated and consequentially covered in scaffolding!

His masterpiece my arse! The man designed Blenheim Palace for one thing!

I thought that carpet was photoshopped for a second but it's real? Why? It's ugly and stupid, looks like an Iron Maiden concert.

It isn't normally there. Presumably put on for some event an/or visiting royal.

Blenheim Palace is the home of the Dukes of Marlborough, the first of which defeated the French at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. An ancestor of Winston Churchill who was born on the grounds.
