I didn't get to see this myself but it happened in the city I live in.

Yesterday Officer Morales teamed up with Sergeant Massie from Alaska State Troopers (Official) to keep this moose calf safe from running into traffic near mile 7 of the Glenn Highway and JBER. Luckily they were both able to monitor the calf, secure her with leg restraints, and transport her back to safety.

FFS @SoulMonster can you put your feet pics as a spoiler :vomit:

#notpretty#footphobia

But did you see the huge whatever-it's called? I emptied it and now it's become infected. I could share a new picture but I kind of get the impression you'd rather I'd not

Consider this aversion therapy.

It's much better today, thank you.

That's good but really asking how you did in the race? Hoping your blister issue didn't come on until very late. I've finished a 1/2 iron man carrying shoes in my hands.

My wife got me one some years ago. That bastardly pedicure woman removed all the thick skin under my heels. Hurt like hell when running. It took me years to develop a new hardy epidermis. Never went to pedicure again. Waste of time and thick skin.

My daughters love cleaning my toe nails and do it almost every other day. It is scary as hell though, they use small scissors to try to remove any dirt under the nails, often vith a lot of horribly clumsy excitedness if there is anything there to remove. I once got an infection in my toe because they cut me, probably because they were trying to watch TV as they scraped away with the little scissors. Most visitors decline their offers to clean their nails, I accept out of fatherly love...and what I can't describe as anything but sheer stupidity.

Wow. That's impressive, and sounds awful.

It wasn't too painful, the toes get stubbed a lot so they always start hurting towards the end of the race but it wasn't too bad. The problem this time was the heat, we had 27 degrees Celsius so I had to drink a lot and that slowed me down. I came in at 1:55:05 (half marathon) which was worse than last year when I ran the same competition (it is a quite hilly race), but advanced on the overall result list. It is a small competition so my time, which isn't good at all competition-wise and 30 minutes after the best runners, still earned me third best in my age class . I guess many succumbed to the heat. I am doing another competition run in September and then I hope to do a lot better.
