That's funny. No offense, but do you get a lot of shows?

Haha... we get quite a few but I never thought we’d see GN’R. The concert promoters are saying it’s the biggest production we’ve ever had here.

Thats really cool! Wonder if they are adding more stuff in markets they rarely play here in/around Europe? This is added AFTER the current leg ends... (sure, only 3 days but still... they almost never drop just one show, its always been a complete leg for most of NITL, except maybe Coachella, Vegas and the first Brazil shows).

Would be tempted to go if true but I agree, this seems weird as a one off addition this late. Unless it was on the cards at the previous announcement and theyve only just figured the logisitcs out. Still, you'd assume they'd of given up almost 6 months after the other shows were announced.

It certainly looks like it's happening. Bit too much detail to be just a rumour.

American rock band Guns N’ Roses will play in Reykjavík on July 24th, RÚV reports. A crew of 150 people will accompany the band, who will set up a 65-metre wide stage for the show. Organizers say it will be the largest concert ever held in Iceland.

The Reykjavík concert will be the last in a world tour which began in April 2016. It marks the first time Singer Axl Rose, guitar player Slash, and bass player Duff McKagan have reunited since 1993.

A total of 35 storage containers will be shipped to Iceland for the event, along with a 150-person crew who will see to the set-up for the concert. The preparations will take around a week, and include setting up a 65-metre stage, big screens, and a special floor to protect the stadium where the event will take place.

Tickets for the concert will cost ISK 18.900 (USD 190/EUR 150) and go on sale the first of May.

This seems incredibly late to be announcing big tour dates for July. Are these sites trusted? Nothing official yet.

We’re used to it. We tend to get bands that are either strarting or finishing their tours.

Tickets to be sold here:

https://www.show.is/

The guys organizing already organize a festival called Secret Soltice.

15k capacity, actually wondering if the full production incl stage will fit :D

This is gonna be sold out instantly, especially if GNR will also announce it as the end of NITL and a relatively small show, looking at the venue.

Or could be they will roll out more dates this week.  Plenty of summer left.

Dont really think so. Pretty uncommon to announce this late, and they've basically announced the legs >6 months in advance afaik.

Where in the announcement does it say it's the last NITL date?

"The Reykjavík concert will be the last in a world tour which began in April 2016."

Capacity will be around 25,000 for a concert, according to wikipedia.

Interestingly, it hasn't got walls, so I guess there's a potential to expand it possibly too.

That's only on the news site thing. It'll probably be the last one but no confirmation yet
