We'll actually get to discuss NEW (old) stuff I wonder if and how this will affect the setlist. I'm guessing (hoping) they might add Shadow to promote it, but other than that the set has been heavily relying on AFD anyway. So I'm not expecting a big difference. Lio
By the way, I love that they even provided a microfiber cleaning cloth to keep that super deluxe box dustfree. They really thought of everything! 2 minutes ago, username said: I'm guessing (hoping) they might add Shadow to promote it, but other than that the set has been heavily relying on AFD anyway. Saw them last year in Nijmegen and I'm not going again so soon. Just bought tickets for Pearl Jam and Ry Cooder which I've both never seen before. Matter of priorities.
BOSSY78
I'm going to hold out on checking Amazon until I see actual price on this one. It would be great if it wasn't 650. Does anyone think new songs will be on here? I mean it's hard to tell what they mean by unreleased. Very excited and will be getting this. Axl's picture collection will be great to see and the actual box looks great too. This is very well put together from what I can tell. Isn't there another version of Don't Cry Axl wrote? Like 3 versions of SOYL and a few versions of Don't Cry? Or will it be 49 different songs? I'm really curious. Tbf i dont really need to hear 3 or 4 demo versions of songs which were too shitty to ever release 30 years ago.
Pam Grier's Ghost
I seen Axl/Dc in Cleveland, and it sounded way better and alot cheaper than the gnr clips i caught wind of later that year. There's your next (only) Appetite album.

CDs and blu-rays are usually released with 20-to-25% off the MSRP. I think this will cost $135 at release date. That said, I already pre-ordered mine.

Manfisman
Any of you know how often do bands include a NEW song or two in a release like this? I really don't follow this kind of releases so that's why I'm asking. By new song I mean something unheard for us (not like Shadow of Your Love, Crash Diet, etc) Edited May 3, 2018 by Manfisman
Nikki_Sixx
You do realise that AFD on cd and AFD on LP will count as 24 tracks right ? They could also duplicate the demos on cd and LP, so that'll cut your track count in half ! That's advertising for ya !

I cant remember if this was mentioned by killuridols, but i can understand axl wanting to hold off with releasing reckless road....which means during the cd lineup axl was onboard or had ideals of releasing something like this later down the track. So much for not being defined by one album. Not bitching but ill be buying this.

Of course many assume it was just a stab at Canter but perhaps it was more than that as you suggest

They know that too. That's why they know they can repackage the same shit and sell it to you.

Jeez
2 hours ago, ToonGuns said: My money is on Adler. It sounds a little like Frank, but I think that is more because of the horrible triggered gated snare sound and bass drum, similar to the sound from the tour. The playing style sounds more like Adler. Let's put it like this: If it is Frank his groove has improved and he has done a soundalike job. That's easy to say now when we're 99.9% sure its Adler though.

This is very curious. It leads me to believe there might be something very interesting on those cds. i am afraid its the live early shows mitch lafon mentioned
