Popular Post gavgnr
Imagine, a full set of all Chinese Era material from 95-98. Is there anyone who won’t buy the AFD $1000 boxset but would’ve bought a Chinese Era boxset? 8

jamillos
Years like 1995 definitely don't belong to any "Chinese era". Dude, do you realize Slash was still in da band at that time? : )
Edward Nygma
Definitely still interested in hearing all the Chinese era completed tracks but not for a $1,000. Throw in some spare ribs & beef chow mien as extras.
killuridols
They're not worth a dime but it would have been more interesting than the AFD reissue. At least it would have been something we haven't heard before 1
ShadowOfTheWave
I would pay $2,000 for a Chinese boxset, wouldn't pay $10 for the AFD one.
downzy
On the one hand there's more value in a $1k CD crate than an AFD crate since there's very little music in the AFD crate that hardcore fans haven't heard before. On the other hand, why spend $1k on music when it's likely going to be released in other (cheaper) packages and/or someone who buys it would probably share it. They could limit unreleased material to vinyl to help lessen the likelihood of piracy, but I'm sure there's a way to transfer vinyl to a digital format, hence you'd only need to wait a week or two before the music would be available somewhere (not that I would ever condone music piracy, of course) So then the question is less on the music and more to do with whatever goodies they could include in a CD box. It would have to be some very exclusive, limited edition stuff that would be difficult to replicate digitally. Obviously the red hand cover album and stuff like that might help. But I think $1k would be a stretch unless it involved someone from the band personally delivering it to you. In the end, to each their own. AxlRoseCDII
The only price I’d be willing to pay is 12.99, just like any other new album. 2

Popular Post RussTCB
Chinese Democracy is my favorite Guns N Roses album. Robin Finck in my favorite GNR guitarist. Having said all of that, my answer is a firm "nah" 5
soon
Id pay some high amount, but not $1000. The goodies in a nuGNR box would be pretty strange I think, like a diorama of the chicken coop, Herbie cuff links, temporary gothic Finck face tattoo, copies of the drum sheet music, Pitman towel, Shriners hat stickers, a bust of Fortus, Tommy suspenders, and a complete lack of Axls presence... my point is that it was a strange time. Would be so cool to hear Buckets renditions of the Disney themes!

-W.A.R-
A CD set would be immensely more interesting than the AFD one imo. I wouldn't come close to paying 1k for it though.

Propaganda
I would literally pay 500$ for a Remastered Chinese Democracy if it included the new proper mix of Oh My God and any of the versions of Silkworms, if they released it Officially that is. Gackt
I'd get the $30 version on iTunes I'd seriously pay a hundred though, if it included everything recorded between '95 and '08.

PatrickS77
What's with those stupid CD related threads. Anyone willing to buy that box set for that price and not willing to buy the AFD boxset should immediatly leave this forum. 1
