I watched it.

Kate Middleton was escorting the pageboys and bridesmaids, she arrived with 3 other ladies. The one in a blue navy dress looked smug af. LOL:lol:

Funniest moment: the reverend from Chicago. Priceless!

Congrats to Prince Harry.

I watched it in a pub in London. That American preacher 😂

It certainly livened things up a bit.

Windsor looks like a lovely town, I can't say I'm too fussed about the wedding but we definitely do ceremonious pomp very well!

I didn't wake up at 5 to see the wedding. lol

anyway, when I was eating breakfast I checked CNN and they were re-showing the wedding. I just saw Megan's dress which was beautiful and Harry looked very handsome. Otherwise, I have no interest. I don't understand what the big deal is?

It's not a big deal to anyone i know :shrugs:Some women do love a wedding though, i've been to weddings and there's random people outside the church waiting to see the bride!! nutters!

I didn't watch it. Why are people talking about the preacher?

Have you seen the Blues Brothers movie? James Brown plays a loud charismatic American pastor. Well they found whoever that character was based on to give the sermon.

It was actually a nice combination of both cultures, but the guy above felt very out of place in the most formal of high church events.

Jan, did you get into Charles and Di’s? I remrmber my mum kept scrapbooks of newspaper clippings from that. But there was less entertainment and less news then.

I’m just asking in case it’s the same women who believed that fairytale love all royal weddings in spite of it.

No, i didn't see that one either  I actually find weddings really boring IRL so ain't gonna watch one on TV

I think it's kind of sweet that a lot of people enjoy a royal wedding but there's some crazies out there, camping out and all that. Not my cuppa tea though. I'd watch Slash get married...

I’ve been reading a bit further. I really feel sorry for Meghan. The only family member of hers there was her mum.

When you’re marrying into the world’s most famous family, I’m sure the least that’s expected of you is to show up with a few of your own.

My husband and I both have families with missing members due to death, divorce or disfunction. I feel as though that the complicated mess that families are was acknowledged today.

He meant well, but he needed to tone it down and cut the sermon by 20 minutes easy. Other than that the music/singing was great, especially that 19 year old cellist. Played beautifully!

Thought that Meghan and Harry looked divine, especially in their outfits after the wedding for the luncheon/party. Much luck to them.

I really hope that this is the beginning of the end for lace dresses. I always thought that lace was frumpy, but since the Cambridge’s wedding, the fashion industry has been at peak lace — which is one of the reasons I made my own.

It looks to have been an elegant day. I hope that they enjoy being married.
