Alan Antimatter
Hi guys. I'm new here. Something I've always wanted to know. Have the members of Guns N' Roses ever expressed an opinion on Def Leppard? I've never heard anything said either pro or against. I know Slash and Duff have jammed with Joe Elliott a few times (Freddie Mercury Tribute and Kings Of Chaos), but I've absolutely have no idea if they love or hate their music? thunderram
Not trying to be snarky, but does DL's music sound like anything the Gunners would really like? That's likely why you've never heard or read anything pro. All releases post 1983's Pyromania are very mainstream and is typically more popular with women than with men. Don't get me wrong, I grew up in the era and always dug DL. But most hardcore rockers aren't likely to be fans of anything past 1983 era Leppard. Pyromania, High N' Dry and On Through the Night have some tunes that could certainly be appreciated, but I highly doubt the Gunners are into anything from Hysteria and onward. It just doesn't fit with the types of music they've cited as influences or that they are fans of. Edited June 16, 2018 by thunderram

As @Alan Antimatter also pointed out, Slash has performed with Joe Elliott in Kings of Chaos too. So there are two connections. But my original point still stands. Alan Antimatter
Well seeing as Lep are influenced by pretty much the same artists as GNR, I thought maybe they would have some sort of opinion on them, good or bad, but I've never heard anything. I thought maybe GNR would've dug the first three Leppard albums maybe.
