31illusions
First thing I thought upon hearing it was Cornshucker, but then it changed. It's Okay. I can see why they didn't finish it.
zombux
so what is this song exactly? it's known that during the sessions they recorded some unreleased tracks, including "Untitled song in progress" and "Cornshucker Stomp". now obviously a song was released, but we don't know which one it is. what do you guys think, is this Cornshucker Stomp, or is it the untitled song? it was known that You're Crazy acoustic and The Plague were existing, and indeed they have been now released. but what about "New York Tune"? thanks for your opinions

I don't think so. it was more likely 3-4 days (2-5th June 1986) - we only know snippets of exact information, based on AFD 2LP/Deluxe Edition credits (which says 5th, at least for some songs), and the original reels (which say 4th for the same songs - so I guess it was more days). I don't have the SDE/L&L credits handy yet, so I can't tell about the other tracks that are on CD3-CD4.

zombux
Just now, donny said: will do. i have 2 versions of heartbreak hotel and 1 of those is labelled "hell house rehearsals" i guess the same applies to that ? yes, definitely. no HH from Hell House known. 1 take was done at Mystic Studio (but never circulated) 2 takes were done at Sound City (one has been bootlegged and subsequently released officially at AFD SDE, the other take is not circulating). 2 takes were done at Pasha (one is at Alan Niven 1986 master tapes again, the other one has been "released semi-officially" at a compilation called Hollywood Rocks! Vinyl Edition and it seems that one is the only source where it appeared) that makes 3 circulating versions altogether.

Ninjapie24
Now listening to it more I would have to say it’s a mixture of the riff of Zeppelin’s “Out on the Tiles” and the feel of “Bron-Yr-Aur”.

To my ears its almost like Locomotive is this jam elevated to Axls UYI standards. Or without that finesse it would be right at home of It's Five O' Clock Somewhere.
