Constantine is not going to be performing in Cali/NV in August, or on any other dates with the band at this time. LikeADog93 Posted July 1, 2018 Share Posted July 1, 2018 Everything Steven has done over the years has had lots of turnover and doesn’t last long. I love his drumming and he seems like a nice guy, but I could see how his personality could get very overbearing. He’s basically a 7 year old kid trapped inside a grown mans body. I think that’s the reason why GNR offered him such a limited role in the reunion tour, they don’t want to be around him. No. But was he horrible? Also no. Saying anybody is better than him is an amateur comment. Steven doesn’t play with just anybody so the fact he got the gig in the first place says something. I had a great time. Steven is just so happy to celebrate his music. Nobody loves GNR and AfD like he does. The band was really tight and honored the music well. I hope he keeps them together and does another album. I was happy they did some of his post GNR stuff too. My couple of critiques- the singer is legit incredible. He sounds better than Axl does now. I do think he should try and shy away from the Axl mannerisms and outfits and be himself more. Itll make it seem like less of a cover band. I was also a little bummed they didn't do the whole album. They didn't do Think About You, My Michelle, Out Ta Get Me, or Its So Easy. I would have liked to hear Think About You, as Ive never heard it from any GNR member. Move To The City would have been awesome too since I love the way he drummed it back in the day. I was surprised to hear Reckless Road (awesome surprise!) and You Could Be Mine. After the show I got to meet him and asked about YCBM and he said it was time for everyone to hear how it was meant to be played . He was super gracious after and talked/hugged/signed shit for all of us. Got my AFD vinyl signed now by him, Slash, and Duff I can now say Ive met 4 out of 5 members of OG GNR.
