Haha you’re crazy, I really enjoyed the MSG show I went to last year. Showed up 30 min before guns came on, got a beer, sat back and relaxed, stood up for the high energy songs, sat back and enjoyed the slower tunes! It was a blast. I had this little tv in front of me if I wanted to watch the show recording, my legs weren’t hurting, I went to the restroom when I wanted to and Axl sang better and better the more I drank! Lio
Only Early Entry guarantees a spot at the rail, in my experience. When you're EE, you're not allowed to run, there's usually security preventing anyone from running. In Gelsenkirchen, not many people were EE and the stage was huge, so quite a lot of regular ticket holders managed to get a spot at the rail, but it depends. Nijmegen was a lot tougher. Nijmegen was odd, there was no line for GC, because the fence only opened after 3, I think. People were just sitting around near the fence. So it would've been useless showing up in the morning. All the shows I've been to, you could only take in a bag smaller than A4, so not sure how you'd get a sign in, maybe a small one. If you're lucky, Axl or whoever might see it before Gio grabs it from you. I've only left the rail before the first support act came on, to grab a drink or food. The crowd is only a few rows at that point and people will usually let you through again, but they don't like it I wouldn't leave the rail after that. And you should always have someone saving your spot.

Popular Post GNRfanJen
My one and only front row experience was with Guns in San Antonio last year. As everybody has said, you have to queue up pretty early to even get a chance at front row. A little before noon, I’d say. When you get there, a line more than likely will have already started, although that means jack once you’re actually let inside, then it’s a foot race But while you spend all that time waiting, make friends with those around you. That is really the key right there. That’s what I did. When I was waiting all that time, I chatted up some nice folks from out of the state, told them how excited I was to see Guns for the 2nd time, and that it was my first pit experience ever and wanted rail They all seemed entertained and amused by my excitement so I had a whole crew who was going to help me get rail! Once inside I hauled ass as fast as I could, some other people got in front of me when the man who was checking our wristbands was going slow but as soon as that was done, a nice guy had a spot saved for me touching the rail, front row. I was very thankful for this as I am really small As for the bathroom situation, I had to go a few times throughout the night, and was let back to my exact spot each time. I’m also small so those that didn’t comply, I could just weave through them Merch: You can get that outside a few hours before doors open. If you’re at the very front touching the rail, there’s a little bit of space to set your stuff down in front of you. At least there was for me. And again I made friends with everyone around me so I wasn’t concerned about anything being stolen Sign: If I had known before the morning of that I was going to be in the pit, I would have made/brought a sign but honestly I think I’m glad I didn’t. It just takes up too much space, and you’re too worried about the sign than enjoying what’s happening in front of you Axl ended up smiling and waving at me twice that night, once during Estranged and once during Nightrain. Moments I’m taking with me to my grave. I still giggle like a little girl when I think back to it. All that waiting was 110% worth it. It was even better when after those moments happened, I felt people pat me on the back, and some people gave me high fives after. I guess because they were happy for me. It was cool TL;DR: MAKE FRIENDS! Be nice to everyone around you and it’ll only help you out in the long run
NeonKinight
My Front row experience. Fun fact is : I went to the show sayin' "oh, this time, i'll enjoy the show, i'll take almost no pictures and only record it in my memory" I got home and realized I took 510 photos....

Popular Post Natty
if GNR is your fav band then all the hours of waiting and queuing will be repaid by an unbelievable view and great position front row. It is more comfy front row cause you can lean on the rail and have a rest before show starts or you can sit down. center and slash side are a bit rougher than Duff side. I prefer Duff s side anyway cause I prefer him to Slash... pee before you get in and then just don t pee. I can manage that easily but if you cant chances are 50/50 you lose your spot. take suncream with you and ask security for water. usually they hand it out to the front row. wear comfy shoes like trainers!!! you ll have to stand and run so don t make errors in choosing stupid shoes. and you will have a super lot of fun ! signs are tricky. better cloths or "scarves" with message on it. Gio and the others will take anything away but maybe return it to you after the show if you are nice. I will always do front row for my fav bands cause its the closest you can get to them...
ChristmasFnatic
In Brasil last year, I attended Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Guns. 3 separate days. Tents already there. Lol. I lined up 4/5am, and I was number 80-110(they have a system to write what number you are so you can leave and come back). Once inside the gates, like some say, doesnt matter cuz its a foot race. I was alone and I am pretty fast. Always ended up front and center. Lol.

IncitingChaos
Another important note on seat choice is this, if you get to pick your seat, pick an aisle seat. If you need to get up and get a drink or go to the restroom it’s so convenient haha

GNR fans are amongst the most diverse I’ve ever met. Most other bands shows I go to they seem to have a “typical” fan. Gnr fans are all over the spectrum. Likely a testament to the amount of people their music has touched in their 30 year history.

God of Thunder
Really don´t understand why people would go through all the drama, I assume not only your feet hurt but also your neck from standing there and staring up, propably only seeing a small portion of the stage anyways; all so Axl can wave at you? I usually buy FOS 1 tickets and then stand in the center near the back rail. Much better sound, much better view, no stress if you want to get a beer or need to go to the toilet... In Mannheim they even had a bar inside FOS1. One of my friends stayed there the entire time, said it was the best time he ever had at a concert Buy merch before the show, after the good stuff is usually sold out.

That's why I love queuing for GNR. You'll just meet every kind of die-hard - people who love AFD5, people who love CD, people who know every detail of GNR trivia, people who are queuing for their first show, people who traveled the world and saw GNR in the 90's, in Vegas 2016, in St. Louis. It's like finding your people, the convos just flow And everyone has a different opinion about everything and you will talk about almost everything GNR related, from Steven's drumming on AFD to Axl's mustache, and everyone will give their opinion respectfully. It's really, really nice 33 minutes ago, God of Thunder said: Really don´t understand why people would go through all the drama, I assume not only your feet hurt but also your neck from standing there and staring up, propably only seeing a small portion of the stage anyways; all so Axl can wave at you? I know where you coming from. How can I explain to you? It's not about Axl waving to you, the chances of that happen are not very big It's about being close, see all the emotions passing through their faces while playing, see Slash losing it on Nightrain, see Duff interacting with the crowd, see Axl dancing all the time at the end of the stage, hell, I could hear what they were saying off mic on stage last week in Madrid You feel like it's only you and them rocking, they're only playing for you. I love seeing some expressions on Axl face that remind me of some video I saw from a performance they did in the 90's. And with the adrenaline of front-row, of having them so close, you won't feel any pain. You'll just sing and jump and dance because the moment is then. After the show you will feel all the pain you're talking about but I guarantee you that it's worth it. 5 2
