Popular Post MildlyArtistic
Judging by the fact it looks very similar to the screen videos they've been playing during the tour, I can't help but wonder if they're considering playing this live? I'd welcome it, given how stagnant the setlist is now. (Feel free to move if you think this should be in the AFD Remastered subforum instead) 6
StrangerInThisTown
I think they dropped the ball here and released the wrong version. This is much inferior to the other, 1986 acoustic version from Sound City they included. The vibe, instrumentation and backing vocals are so much better on that recording, this one seems very "cold" compared to it. Also weird to not do classic era photos for the video, seeing the 2018 line up with audio from 1988 doesn't feel right. And yes I want it real badly. Acoustic or electric, just play it at all! Much better song than Shadow to me Edited July 18, 2018 by StrangerInThisTown
Swedish
Cool video but why have they used the animation playing on the screens during OTGM for this video as well?
Setzer
A bit strange that they made a new video for it, rather than using the one from the Blu-ray
Lio
I think this hints at them playing it live and using this as background animation, just like SOYL. I hope they don't wait until Asia to bring it out
DK6
It would be awesome if they played this live! Best version of this song by far in my opinion.

Then it would make sense for photos of the NITL tour to be in the video, if it's gonna be used on stage during the tour when they play this. AxlIsGod.
Probably will be for the Asia run. Makes sense with Shadow coming in this run.
MaskingApathy
This video was made by creative works London, which is the same company that made the shadow of your love tour video and all of the background graphics that they're using on tour. That's why some of the animation is the same.

That's probably why, the other one sounds like a demo recording they're not gonna release that.

They choose it not because it is better but because it is an uncirculated take and "new" to everyone, one of the few recordings from the classic era no one heard. The 1986 version doesn't sound like a demo to me at all even though it actually is one. I doubt anyone who listens to it will go "that sounds like a demo" or will realize it's a demo without knowing it. Which is why that doesn't justify to me to release the inferior version. colonizedmind
Nice...Think there's a fair chance we get "Move To The City" in the set before years out. Glad there posting these videos, better than nothing!
Coma16
I never liked this song until I heard this version. Hopefully they play it live eventually.
TheHelgo
Actually, a much cooler video than I was expecting. Would be fun to see them play it live. It was never one of my favorite songs of theirs, but fun to see the band doing videos again somewhat.
jamillos
Nice, and I’d definitely wanna hear it in the playlist. The question is, how would Axl sound on it now in 2018. It seems to be at that middle level where he doesn’t go too raspy any longer, if ya know what I mean. Anyway, I would much more prefer stuff like Nice Boys or You’re Crazy (the Appetite version). They are kick-ass songs, and Axl would rasp the shit out of them. Great for the playlist choreography, too.
Gackt
If it means getting a song into a setlist, get me a lyric video for Street of Dreams ASAP
donny
i don't want to sound to negative but 2 people playing the song are not in the video. and a Greyhound coach would have made more sense than a car
TheGeneral
Hmm, I prefer the electric version. Hope they'll play that one live. So now let's pray for a Jumpin' Jack Flash/Mama Kin lyric video + live performance
Evan442
I doubt they’ll play it. That requires work. This is just to push more copies of that piece of shit re-release 3
GNRfanMILO
His Madagascar voice is intact. Trying MTTC with it might sound fucking spectacular. Reaaally hope it gets played live!
cineater
Wow! That is really good. Who put that together? Especially think how they did the lyrics is kick ass. Great that they used all current pictures of the band. Like the song like that too.
Kwick1
It's a much cooler video than I expected and I'm really hoping they add it to the set list. But I have to agree, I prefer the acoustic version of the song. It's hard for me to relate with 50+ year olds and this song. I think it would be even stronger showing their 1986 / 87 selves in the video and performing it on NITLT.
