I think it's less about which tunes Axl is singing, ac/dc or Guns, and is more about actually preparing for the gigs. Axl showed with ac/dc that if he actually rehearses the tunes properly, he can still sing with great power and overall be more consistent.

It seems like he's just not interested in practicing Guns songs before a tour. AC/DC was enough of a big deal for him to go out of his way to make sure his performances will be great. He can do the same with Guns tunes imo, but he's content with the quality of his singing in Gn'R.

Well said. I think it might lay somewhere in the middle? DC has no Coma vocal marathons and Axl also puts in the work with DC.

Hopefully a Guns recording would push Axl to work that hard with out having to limit the melodic elements.

If Axl is done with his ballads, big IF-but i don't think he's still heartbroken over Erin or Stephanie?, will the songs be closer to Double Talkin' Jive? Civil War? Yesterdays? More bluesy, or existential rather than necessarily just a few TWAT or TIL ballads? Or should we expect those type of songs? I'm not sure. Granted, Izzy wrote a lot of those bluesy, metal songs like You Could Be Mine, I think Fortus and Slash could write something like that; just maybe not as good as Slash and Izzy could
