Sounded to me like he made a point to say how the new riffs he brought forward to SMKC were "written on the spot in January/February" (3:51-58). Given that Slash is known to write while on the road makes me wonder if all that he wrote on NITL is being held for Guns. He said he had Guns riffs after all.
