CAFC Nick
Slash is today's guest on WTF with Marc Maron. Listen here: http://www.wtfpod.com/ or available on other podcast services (Apple podcasts etc). Look forward to listening to it today! Synopsis:"Slash is known for guitar wizardry, the top hat, and a prolific career across several major rock acts. But he's less known as Saul Hudson, a British, biracial son of a costume designer who was into drawing and BMX, not music. He tells Marc about being involved with a tangled web of Los Angeles bands that led to the formation of Guns N’ Roses, the band no one wanted to see succeed except the people who were directly involved in it. Slash also discusses collaborating with Michael Jackson, Carole King, Miles Kennedy, and reuniting with GNR. This episode is sponsored by Squarespace and Starbucks Doubleshot." WhazUp
Just finished listening to it - it was a fun listen, Marc and Slash seemed to really get along well! Nothing really new regarding GNR, Slash mostly talked with Marc about the band's history and how they formed in the 80's and all the stuff we all already know, and same with the NITL tour. He said that the issues with GNR were mostly the business aspect of stuffs and adding that of course being on drugs and clouding his mind didn't help things, but he mentioned that he talked with the GNR dudes and they said that it is better left not talked about in depth publicly I really enjoyed this podcast though, Slash seems way more excited and into this conversation than a lot of other ones. And it was cool hearing about him and Marc just shoot the shit Edited September 20, 2018 by WhazUp 3
Coffe Breath
Weird, I was just yesterday thinking about the idea of Slash going on WTF but figured Marc would have no interest. Then it happens edit: I just remembered that Marc has praised Appetite before Edited September 20, 2018 by Coffe Breath

It's a back and forth conversation, not a Q&A interview. I know people that have been rattled by how much Joe Rogan throws his 2 cents in about everything with all guests, instead of just asking and staying silent. It's not an interview, it's a chat. Meron's episode with Derek Trucks is really good too. Edited September 20, 2018 by moreblack
Nicklord
Marc Maron with Louis CK is probably the best podcast episode of anything ever. They both opened up so much, it basically became 2 people confessing and talking about the deepest things they feel Can't wait to listen to this. He usually prepares for the interview and knows what to ask

I know Maron runs a very low operation out of his house so slash probably liked not being around a ton of people associated with whoever is interviewing him that week. Very cool to hear slash just be chill and shoot the shit. Awesome interview
evergreen_layne
Highly satisfying conversation between Marc and Slash I wish it was longer but they seemed to cover pretty much everything. I didn't know Slash didn't like coke after a bad experience when he did a gram and tried to play guitar on stage and it didn't go so well. I always figured he was coking it up with Duff and Matt on the UYI tour. He did smoke crack with Duff as the MGM plane was taking off though so maybe he gave it a second chance. Slash broke out his patented "All things considered" 2 or 3 times and Marc responded like it was a thoughtful thing to say instead of Slash's go-to conversation filler Cool to hear Slash's thoughts on the state of rock today and that rock will always come in and out of fashion but it remains a constant for a certain segment of the population that enjoys it and knows when something is genuine and real (like me!).
