Stiff Competition
Man, I used to go to so many concerts and so far this year I only have 3 lined up, two of them being Aerosmith 2 days apart from each other. At some point this year, the Raconteurs will tour and I'll see at least a couple shows on that tour but otherwise it'll probably be a pretty light year.

username
Last Saturday the Dutch punk band Heideroosjes gave their first of 2 reunion concerts celebrating their 30th birthday. They started in 1989, but called it quits in 2012 with a farewell tour. This was a great 32-song 2 hour show. The guys didn't skip a beat. Just absolutely fucking amazing high energy punk with a shitload of passion in it. I fucking loved it. I started off safe on the balcony like a good adult, but seeing people go apeshit down in the moshpit was way too tempting, so I eventually joined in. Which was nuts. Hadn't done that in years. I actually did my first stagedive at one of their gigs. I also did my last stagedive at their farewell tour. At 28 years of age I figured it'd be my last. Well.... guess what 34 year old went stagediving last Saturday? And FUCKING HELL it felt awesome! Managed to keep crowdsurfing for a while. Of course I was bruised battered and broken the next day, but hey, worth it. I honestly love this band so much.

I will probably see Lady Gaga in vegas at some point this year as well as the possibility of a couple more Aerosmith shows out there as well. Black Sabbath
Aerosmith announced some East Coast “residency” shows and I was able to nab GA for the first of two Atlantic City shows. Hoping to get a pair for the second show too.

But, my GA ticket was nearly half of what it would have been otherwise, so it’s OK. https://m.theborgata.com/~/media/Borgata/Shows-Venues/Seating Chart Images/event-center-aerosmith.ashx?w=800

These residency shows are giving us all a chance to see them in a much smaller venue than usual which is awesome. I've only seen them at arenas, amphitheaters and festivals before. I’ve only seen them once, and it was an amphitheater back in 2013. Great show but my seats were near the back, so I’m still happy with this setup regardless. I’d be inclined to pay the higher price for the VIP section if I only intended to do one show, and if I knew I wasn’t trying to get pit tickets for the Stones too I’m pretty stoked though.

Guess I'll have to travel for it. Luckily it's not far, since I live in Belgium. This is my favourite song by them:
