wasted
Basically a Classic Rock covers album is in the barrel. Along with CD III, NITL Live, Terminator Soundtrack GH, Remix album, UYI boxset.
Live Like a Suicide
Mitch has been posting a little bit more. He also heard of the studio album rumour, but said he wouldn't bet the house on it. Sounds like the cover/live album is looking much more likely right now (much to my chagrin).

I know it's GNR so nothing is logical. But, if they record a covers album, why not do 2-3 new songs to include on it? The 2019 music industry doesn't require albums anymore. The 2-3 new songs could be released as singles and played on the tour. You'd think that with everything from the mid-90's sessions to CD 2 leftovers, they could find 2 or 3 songs that are good enough to re-work with some modern influence. There's probably a way to do it with vocals that Axl already recorded so his voice doesn't need to be a concern.
MildlyArtistic
This does sound like the most credible set of rumours we've had in a very long time, at least. I hope it at least involves some studio work.

Azifwekare
Wasn't there also something about Axl and Slash recording something for Alice Cooper's next project? I remember a tweet from someone at the studio that got picked up by the usual "news" sites.

tony adler
Please quit shoehorning Michael Jackson into every gnr convo, we get it , you’re a big fan of his, he didn’t even play a G. D. Instrument, and he’s not even in the same genre as gnr 🙄

I don't see what playing an instrument or being the same genre has to do with it at all. The comparison that was brought up in this thread seemed pretty on point to me. I don't really think MJ gets brought up all too often and especially not out of context. Like I said, I'm a big fan though, so maybe I'm just looking past it. Feel free to use the report system to bring it to our attention if you're seeing something we're not though. 1
