Appetite for Distortion - Ep. 95 - Brian "Head" Welch, KORN

Recommended Posts

Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch has a very important documentary coming out. LOUD KRAZY LOVE details the harrowing journey of Brian and his daughter Jennea growing up together with chaotic courage and unconventional faith. Far beyond a rock doc, this fearless coming-of-age story grapples with teenage depression, the quest for identity, and the hope of a father willing to do anything for the one he loves.

We often discuss the personal journeys of Slash, Duff, Steven Adler, and even West Arkeen on the AFD Show. How does Head's story relate?

And in "Shotgun News" we discuss Duff's upcoming solo record and the rumor of a new GNR cover album! Please follow/subscribe/leave a comment!

Not sure why a korn story is in a guns n roses forum....hated the whole nu metal era.

Axl didn’t http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/axl-rose-attends-korn-s-tour-launch-party-new-photos-available/

There’s always a GNR connection

...funny connection too is that both his manager and daughter live in Lafayette. Manager told me a story about meeting some of Axl's mom's friends.

I am a former megafan of Korn.  Lived and died by them in 1995 until they released Follow the Leader in summer 1998 (I was not a fan of that album or anything since then).  I actually only got to see them once on the Life is Peachy tour in November of 1996, but it was an amazing show.

Great interview @Gambit83.  I love how you made the connection between Slash and Duff's struggle with sobriety to Brian's.  I genuinely hope you are able to get them back on your show for a full interview after the documentary comes out.  They seem like they appreciated your interview and insightful questions.  I would be shocked if GNR didn't influence that band in some way.
