I sure know how to come up with some doozies in terms of thread titles...especially after a few beers.

Its the only thread title I've seen that has a period at the end, like the punctuation mark. "The Man and Woman Thread *Period*

What can women do that men cant and vis versa you ask?

Paging Dr Freud

Well...women can have children.  Not sure if it's possible for a man to get pregnant and have children....yet.    Although if you ask most men that stay by their pregnant spouse during their pregnancy, it's definitely a life changing event for most men as well.

You are right, women can have children. You want us to list other biological differences between the sexes? Was that the purpose of this thread? Men have willies. Women can lactate. Men can have cancer of the testicles. Women can get polycysts on their ovaries. You want more? Men are on average stronger than women. And taller.

Look, the man was pissed when he made the thread, can yous not just pile in to help your fellow forum member to not look silly, slap together some semblence of a response, do you all have to wave it in his face?  You're right Kass, socialism doesn't work, people are self centred by nature, cunts

Why are women more bi-curious than men in general? A lot of heterosexual women have had sexual encounters with other women, even if it's just for the sake of experimenting, but I don't know many guys who've done the same. I don't think it's a homophobic thing because, speaking for myself, I'm the furthest thing from that but the thought of having sex with another dude, even kissing a dude, is very off-putting and I don't see myself ever experimenting with that.

I guess because male gender identity is closely tied with your sexuality i.e. you're not a real man if you're not straight, the very idea of being gay is considered (less so nowadays but you know what I mean) totally contrary to what it is to be male/masculine.  Also there's a rather intrusive nature to gay sex that is a bit of difficult hump for men to get over.  A woman, or most women, is getting entered one way or another, whether its a cock or fingers or a tongue (though the latter hardly enter) for a bloke, having one slipped up your khyber is a discomforting prospect.  I'm probably massively disregarding great chunks of the feminine experience here but gimme a break, I'm a bloke.

Male genitalia that isn't my own is just physically repellent to me unless its in a film balls deep in some bird, the idea of touching it is just yeuck.  Or as Ricky Gervais put it in The Office 'its different with women isn't it, more light-hearted'

But what I was trying to say is that I don't think that way at all. I grew up with Bowie, Cobain, and all these people that flirted with their sexuality in an androgynous kind of way. I've been really skinny my whole life, skinnier than most girls, and I don't give a shit. But men just don't sexually arouse me and the thought of touching men that way is, like I said, off-putting, but if it wasn't, I don't think I would mind experimenting with that because someone might consider me to be gay or not masculine.

I grew up with Cobain and Bowie and have always loved Glam but to be honest Glam was never about being gay anyway, girls loved that look.  I don't think I get what you're saying, you're not gay because the idea of gay sex doesn't arouse you but if it did then you wouldn't mind experimenting, well of course not cuz in that instance you'd be bi-sexual at least.

I guess what I am trying to say is that women seem to be more attracted to the same sex than men, and it's not just because women are more open minded or because guys don't do it just for the reasons you stated. I get what you're saying and for some guys it's probably that way, but for a lot guys it's just about not being attracted and nothing else. I don't know if I'm making sense here.

I think we've all a lot more gay in us that we'd like to believe.  You meet a lot of guys like 'ugh, i don't know how you could ever find a guy attractive etc etc' but thats fuckin' bullshit because, OK, you can tell when a guys good looking right?  You can tell the difference between some hideous fuckin' ogre and a good looking guy?  Based on that alone you are some of the way to understanding the homosexual experience, in some miniscule way.  I've actually had people say to me before in a similar discussion that they don't know what an attractive guy is, so entrenched is their sense of masculinity, so you have to go the whole other way of going 'OK, you can tell when a guys ugly right?  So conversely you must understand what the contrary state is i.e. a good looking bloke'.

Its weird though that a lot of what is considered to be good looking in men is often men with sort of feminine features about them, Axl, Bowie, Leonardo Di Caprio (when he was young anyway).  Perhaps masculinity in its purest form is just plain fuckin' ugly?  Then again, women found Oliver Reed attractive and there was nothing feminine about him lookswise.  Any-fuckin'-wise from what I've read.

The bit I can't get over is having to touch them and/or having a willy up my arse or having to put my willy up some hairy bloke arse.  Ugh, can we talk about birds again now please?

@EvanG @Len Cnut if you guys ever have a son and he's gay, would you care at all? I couldn't care less tbh.

What, me and Evan have a son?  That'd be a bit complicated

Nah, to be honest it'd take a bit of getting used to but if thats what you wanna do lad then what can I say, go for it.

There might be a worry because there's still homophobia in the world and it's not going to make their life easier, but personally I wouldn't care at all, you'd just want them to be happy, right?

Of course that's bullshit, anyone can see that George Clooney is an attractive man.

But you're onto something, it's not uncommon to see a really hot chick (that isn't a gold-digger) with an ugly guy. It doesn't happen that often the other way around.

I dunno, I'm just a really blokey bloke and I have these ideas in my head where like, OK, if I have a son he's gonna box and play footie and all that, if he turned out to be a poof it'd be a bit of a curve ball for me but fuck it, all this stuff, these ideas we have in our head of how we want things to be and how they should be is like...half baked and the reality of how a well adjusted normal person who hasn't been crushed by the weight of your expectations turns out is always better than your...bionic child that you had in mind.

I am sure you can get used to that, too. But can you get used to be sexually attracted to the opposite sex if you aren't gay? I mean, can you condition yourself to be aroused by men? That's a question for which I have no clear answer. When being hit on by men I have some times thought, "why not? let's see if I can get some enjoyment out of it", but eventually I always conclude that I simply isn't interested in it, there is no sexual attraction for me so I might as well go home and jerk off instead. Less complicated than being in a homosexual one-night stand and just not being aroused. I made out with a male friend once, on a dare, but again, no sexual arousal. Which is a pity of course, because if you can play both fields it does make things easier when single and looking for fun.
