I am repeating myself here but bootlegs - this is back in the good old days of VHS trading - undoubtedly pushed my fandom to far greater levels than it would have been with merely the studio albums. Guns were one of the best rock n' roll bands that has ever existed during their heyday, 1986-93, and only really by watching stuff like the Ritz 88 and the Deer Creek one can you truly appreciate that (unless somebody invents a time machine).

when it came out, I think my watching of Tokyo exceded 100 in less than 6 months.  Like the first couple of months, I watched both tapes like twice a day.

Paris was like a dream., as was Buenos Aires '93...

Rio '91 - insane.

But when Saskatoon showed up - from this perspective I think it may have easily been the best show to ever surface in PRO shot by some band.

Wish a number of shows surfaced in PRO, Ritz'91, NYC 13/12/91, Worcaster 3/8/91, many, many other shows 91-93...

Anyone saying Fortus and Ferrr line up is on the level or better than Gilby/Matt is insane...or hasn't been through that era.

When I was a kid I had the Paris PPV taped and the the first Tokyo video. I accidentally taped over the first 30mins of the Paris PPV with an episode of Neighbours.

Neighbours, ouch! 😅

Speaking of neighbours.. When the Paris PPV show was aired in 1992, we didn't have satellite TV at home, and I was sad I couldn't watch it. As I roamed about in our front garden I suddenly heard the show magically begin - our next door neighbour was watching it. I didn't know them to ask if I could join them. So I ended up listening to it in our front garden, occasionally catching a glimpse of it through the window of our neighbour. So frustrating, but what ya gonna do, lol.

It was a good episode. Paul was having it away with the other twin. Caroline or Christina.

Haha, you've gotta be from the UK.. only us Brits got that fixated with Aussie soaps to that extent 😬

Come to think of it, I can see your taped episode of Neighbours and raise you, the 4 hours of Prisoner Cell Block H that I made my Mum record so I could catch up after a 2 week holiday in Ireland with my Dad. Came home and watched the whole lot b2b whilst eating jam Wagon Wheels.

Rock n fuckin Roll 🤓

Back on topic though: much as it's annoying being deprived of live GnR material in this day and age, there was a certain charm about having to track down bootlegs etc back in the 90s. The main source for me was record fairs where you could get cassettes of live shows and EPs of demos etc. Even as a 12 year old with limited pocket money I managed to get a load of stuff; the CBGB concert, various UYI bootlegs, the demos of Ain't Goin Down, Shadow, etc, loads more. The Internet has made us complacent about accessing material now. But the removal of the few decent ish AFD live videos we had really fucks me off, I can't see any justification for that.

GNR management would be very happy if all that existed of them online regarding fanbase were some deserted forums. They absolutely hate the people filling their pockets and their behaviour shows this. Soul monster, if you would like to continue emailing them until the end of time that is fine, but please do not act like other people have a stick up their ass for realising this and not bothering anymore. There is plenty of proof of TB's behaviour and you clearly would only believe it if they sent it to you in an email themselves.

That must have been a late 80s episode?. It certainly wasnt early 90s im guessing the episode must have been between 87 to 89?.

You don't believe  me? I can actually describe the episode frame by frame. It is embedded onto my brain.

I have answered this a million times. 90% of my posts are on boards unrelated to Guns N' Roses (e.g., Anything Goes, Movies and music places).

Sorry, I only know you from this section

Remember any of the adverts from the Paris VHS? I'm assuming you taped it from TV on Channel 4 here.......

Imbruglia was working on a building site - plaid shirt, hard hat, etc - and was using the wheel barrow to fetch bricks across a plank of wood; she consequentially fell into the ditch, getting mud all over.

(It sounds like the makings of a good porno?).

This was the episode.

Fucking youtube.  I don't want to subscribe.  They're just pushing me away interrupting the song.  They even say a subscription will stop the song interruptions which are getting more frequent.  Yeah I know they are doing that on purpose.  Something so wrong with doing that to try to get your business.  Makes it even more wrong to tell you they are doing it as a way to get you to subscribe.  I'm ready to go back to radio.  It's free and they don't have that many advertisers putting their money there taking up air time.

Good stuff.  You could've either played on their sympathy to let you in to watch or offered up some loot.😄

Such bullshit. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but isn't there any site anywhere that people can upload videos to without this happening?
