He had Leukaemia? I never knew that.

Yeah, he was dying that whole time before, never told anyone.  Needles Nolan tells of seeing him a month of so before his death, used to tend to his wounds, his track marks and he tells of seeing like, these big fuckin' patches on him that couldn't've been from heroin, he kinda had lukemia and knew something was the matter with him, something bad...but he didn't want to go to the doctors and find out, I guess he rathered just dying on the road, doing his thing.

Yikes. Being a junkie is claustrophobic enough as it is, I cant imagine having certain death approaching too.

I read the wiki just after watching the trailer, so I know there are various accounts and theories of his death. But the coroner seems to think it was the leukaemia. And the movies called "The Mysterious Death..." So I guess enough people dont buy that he died of leukaemia? Fuck, to be advanced on the palliative scale, addicted and then murdered in your twighlight! Sad stuff no matter how one slices it.

There's a really  good documentary on Johnny out there called Looking for Johnny, was made in 2000 and something, its really good.  A great book on him too by Nina Antonia that I read many many many years ago.  And if you're a REALLY big fan there's a kinda really grim Lech Kowalski documentary called Born to Lose: The Last Rock n Roll Documentary, really cheap grainy low key affair, kinda hard to watch for some people but an interesting little document nonetheless.

Johnny was always gonna die like that.
