Appetite for Distortion - Steven Van Zandt talks The Disciples of Soul, Holograms, and Slash | Ep. 120

Recommended Posts

Asked SVZ about meeting Slash in Amsterdam and if he would ever play with him. Also did a recent episode with East Bay Ray from the Dead Kennedys. Says he likes "some" GNR. Not much Guns in the interviews, but there's always something! And fyi I have an interview coming up with Danny Clinch, he directed a new Shannon Hoon doc "All I Can Say"

I checked out the episode.  You're right, not much in terms of GNR content, but interesting interviews nonetheless.  It's not everyday that somebody is fortunate enough to be involved in two iconic brands like Van Zandt has with Springsteen and The Sopranos.  I've met a few of the Sopranos actors over the years, but never Steven.  He sounds like a really genuine guy.

Oh yeah, he's been with Springsteen since the beginning.  Back in the day he was known as Miami Steve.
