It's so funny seeing a public figure being so brutal and refreshingly un-PC in his outburst. Majestic Beast Posted June 20, 2019 Share Posted June 20, 2019 I don't really know,but must be some reason for money and payment disagreement.Dio is a boss and want to be leader in most of his bands,to take part in directions and decisions,so if someone not agree will probably get fired. Then Vivian joined Def Leppard, I presume he made lots of money. Dio grew with a bitter heart. Look at his relationship with Ritchie Blackmore. Also, keep in mind Vivian was only twenty years old at the time. The whole devil schtick tired him out. The 80's were good for heavy metal, all he wanted was fame, money and girls. Campbell asked Dio if he could sing backing vocals and Dio refused. "Ritchie didn't sing!" or something along those lines. Blackmore (being the boss) gave Dio a hard time so when Dio was in charge he gave Campbell a hard time. Noticed Dio on top of the roof all by himself and Adrian on the ground. this video is very weird. lol Listening to the song, I'm still not sure what Dio was trying to say? Artists passing always makes people see things through rose-colored glasses. He seems more jealous that Vivian was and still is making a decent paycheck touring with DL than anything here. Even now I don't listen to 80s rock but still can listen to Dio nd just recently found out who his guitarist was back then.
