Yeah, I've been wondering about that angle too.

What does this mean?? 🤔 Not sure what is meant about the ‘angle’?

It's unfortunate, but our forum always has to be extra cautious with things like this. There's another forum (GNR Truth) that seems to have an unhealthy obsession with us. That's the forum imsorry was referring to. It's just odd that Raz used to have his own section over there and now "Truth" gets mentioned several times.

Sounds way out there and as of now, I'm not accusing anyone of anything. It's merely in the back of my mind is all. It really sucks for us that we have to live with our guard up, but it is what it is :/

Ahh - gotcha. Cheers for clarifying. 👍

Where the word 'truth' is enough to make us suspicious

I know, I know.... Like I said, it's not a big deal. Just something that's always in the back of my mind because it has to be unfortunately

:facepalm:Oh my God, look at the band we've become fans for. Two rapists, a drug dealer and a car thief. And on top of that we expect them to behave like a normal band.  How naive are we?

P.D.: Is Slash the only one that’s not a criminal on this band?

Didn't the books by Mick Wall and other also say Slash was charged in the alleged rape with Axl? 🤨

Slash said it himself:

Slash: "That was no big deal. What happened is Axl and me were with these two girls, and they got in a sexual situation and they decided to file rape charges. Me and Axl had to borrow suits one day to go down to the police station and turn ourselves in over this crap – and when it came down to the wire, they dropped the charges because it was all bogus. We didn’t fucking do anything to them" [Spin, May 1988].

Slash: "Well, there were these girls who wanted to get laid, that were very severely frustrated because they weren't getting any. We gave one of them to a bunch of friends of ours, the other I took up to the bungalow to meet Axl one night, but I said, 'I'm drunk, I'll let Axl fuck you and I'll watch; then her boyfriend walked in, and they claimed it was rape. Me and Axl had to hide out from the cops for weeks and shit, and then we had to go to all these lawyers and go 'what the fuck do we do?' But it was a big mistake, because in reality it wasn't true, so when it came down to the wire and were down at the police station' getting questioned and I was getting my arms fucking checked for tracks and getting completely humiliated by the cops, when it came down to the end of it, when they had to testify and make something up, they didn't have the balls for it" [Metal Hammer, February 1990].

The "we gave one of them to a bunch of friends of ours" could be what Michelle here is talking about when she claims Axl egged people on to touch her.

Axl would also claim the whole thing was a form of revenge:

Axl: "I mentioned to one person about some trumped-up rape charges that we had, and that started appearing everywhere. It really wasn't that big a deal - just some old girlfriend trying to get back at us. People seem to want to believe we're really bad guys. Yeah, we've had some run-in's with the cops and we've done some strange things in our lives, but I think people are just making too much out of 'em" [Hit Parader, March 1989].

As it stands, it really is word against word. What would help Michelle (or Axl) considerably, is witnesses corroborating either story.

Its not like GNR were the only band to have morally dubious lyrics.

The live version of Stones' Stray cat blues from the brilliant Get yer ya ya's out goes like this:

I can see that you're thirteen years old

No I don't want your I.D.

I can see you're so far from home

But it's no hanging matter

It's no capital crime

Oh yeah, you're a strange stray cat

Oh yeah, don'tcha scratch like that

Oh yeah, you're a strange stray cat

Bet your mama don't know you scream like that

I bet your mother don't know you can spit like that.

You say you got a friend, that she's wilder than you

Why don't you bring her upstairs

If she's so wild then she can join in too

It's no hanging matter

It's no capital crime

Wow. Can only be topped by the disgusting original artwork of Scorpians album called Virgin Killers.

He used to shoplift tapes from Tower Records and he had a big thing for underage girls. Like I said before, there's a lot of stuff in their past that could cause problems if it came out.

Uhh....Slash killed Todd Crew and he also might have killed porn star Savannah, so he's a criminal.

Can you tell more about this?

Is there an interview I have missed where he has said this specifically? ... he’s said it more than once apparently.

Here's some stuff I've found so far....

"McKagan said in a statement of the #MeToo movement, “I heard and read some awful stories. As the father of two girls, I felt the need to write this song. If I have any job in the world, it’s to protect the women in my life.""

“I wanted to make the man in the song as awful as possible,” McKagan added. “I wanted to make him a warning. We hear stories of people showing signs beforehand…and we hear also, that something could have been done. I don’t have an answer, and the song doesn’t either. The hope is to simply raise awareness of distressing signals that some may display.

Last September

"On the last Loaded record [2011's The Taking] I wrote a song called Follow Me To Hell. That was a response to a guy who raped and killed a 15-year-old girl in San Diego. I have two daughters and a wife, and this kind of thing pisses us all off, makes us all sick to our stomachs. Follow Me To Hell was what I would do if I got the same room with one of those guys.

"With Last September, I'd read some stories when #metoo was happening – I hate calling it that – of some real bad motherfuckers doing some bad shit, so I fictionalised a story. I swear that song and the lyrics wrote themselves in five minutes, and Shooter really loved the tune.

"It's just a commentary and reaction to the #metoo movement. It is a sad story. But with the refrain of the end I hope to bring a little hope to the female in the story."

Louder Sound - June 3rd, 2019

Looks to me like two different stories got mixed up and that's where the confusion comes from.... :shrugs:

Whilst I find Duff’s latest interviews to be somewhat mind boggling, to say the least - I can’t recall having seen or heard him say anywhere that his song is about a fictional 15 year old girl.

Is there an interview I have missed where he has said this specifically? ... he’s said it more than once apparently.

Otherwise, I don’t think it’s fair to state as a fact he’s been saying his song is about a fictional 15yr old girl.

https://www.razcue.com/single-post/2019/07/02/I-was-wrong

I will post the interviews as well. He says it is about a girl who was 15 and killed in San Diego in 2011, then he says it's a fictionalized story, then he says that it's a workplace scenario. I will look up those full interviews now.

Firstly: you already know the answer to that question. My issue is with the hypocrisy of this twat who wrote one thing in his book and is now trying to score social points by saying something completely different.

Secondly: I'm much less interested in holding Axl, Slash and Duff accountable in 2019 for shit that would have warranted jailtime 30+ years ago when there's no reason to think that anything like that has happened in over 30 years and that they stopped taking drugs, grew up and realised that behaviour was awful.......much less interested than holding accountable people like Bill Clinton who visited Epstein's Lolita Island countless times on his private jet without his security detail whilst President and Hillary Clinton who has been surrounded by both convicted pedophiles; friends with people who have social media accounts drenched in pedosexual imagery and jokes; convicted pedo Anthony Weiner had five folders on his laptop referencing Hillary Clinton and Foundation/Crimes Against Children whilst the FBI released a file stating the laptop contained child porn; taken campaign contributions from people with pedophillic artwork in their homes; raised millions for Haiti through the Clinton Foundation, built 6 houses and fucked off; helped Laura Loomer escape jail for trafficking children out of Haiti then got her a job under a different name with Amber Alerts in America; had fundraisers and spirit cooking dinners with satanic freaks like Marina Abramovich and James Alefantis.....

I'd wager Axl hasn't laid a finger on a woman in nearly three decades. All of this me too stuff aimed at celebrities for things they may have done decades ago is a smokescreen diverting from the child trafficking and pedophilia which is rife within the upper echelons of Hollywood and politics.

Yeah... and don't forget about Hilary's pizza shop
