Taking Brian May’s solo off catcher was one of the worst decisions made on CD, along with any potential replacing of Bucket solos. Bucket is really what holds that album together.

Only Axl Rose would look at Brian May's solo and go, ''nah, think I'll replace it'' haha - similarly with Buckethead.

Yeah here you are

I looked under chairs
I looked under tables
I've tried to find the key
To fifty million fables

They call me The Seeker
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked The Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But they couldn't help me either

They call me The Seeker
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

People tend to hate me
Cause I never smile
As I ransack their homes
They want to shake my hand

Investigating nowhere
Investigating miles
I'm a seeker
I'm a really desperate man

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I learned how to raise my voice in anger
Well, look at my face, ain't this a smile?
I'm happy when life's good
but when it's bad I cry
I've got values but I don't know how or why

I'm looking for me
You're looking for you
We're looking at each other
And we don't know what to do

They call me The Seeker
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

And the point is?

Idk

All cautions made
Every chance was given
No effort spared
To save what we had
All in good faith
I would not hesitate
To extend myself
And lend you my hand

But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way
Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away
Too hard school and you thought you were here to stay
If that were true it wouldn't matter anyway

As tempers fade
And lies forgiven
No cause embraced
Could break what we had
In its place
A storm is lived in
I would've thought you could be more of a man

Yes, it's hard to believe he did that. Those were crimes against guitar but on some level you know what? I respect him even more for that.

cause it means he doesn't care enough about who you are or how good you are if it doesn't tick all the boxes. He didn't want to use Robin's work cause he left the band so he got Brian May to come to the studio and help only to not actually use him but getting in there and compose it for him lol. The balls it takes to splice together a solo with your engineer cause you're not satisfied with what the guitar player came up with. That's being objective isn't it? and open to using whatever tools you can to get the job done.

It's a similar situation to Rocket Queen when you think about it.

I mentioned it yesterday or so - I don't think it goes "a storm is lived in". Maybe "we live in" or even better "is lifting" as someone else said.

Yeah, I'm thinking 'is lifting' too.

I think it's pointless to say that Hard School should have been in the album instead of this and that track. The point is: this should've been released already along with all the other songs in the vault. Axl wouldn't release all of the best songs - or what he considered as the best songs - in the 1st album anyways, the plan was to release more soon later. Obviously that didn't happen, but there was a reason on why HS wasn't on Chinese Democracy and IMO this is why.

I agree about Brian May in CITR, but I don't know about Buckethead's work. The guy is fenomenal, but he also recorded a lot of non-sense noodling. I don't miss his solo in Riad (nor Robin's), even tho I much prefer the Antiquiet version. I would love to hear his original take on Shacklers, though.

Wait, is there a new "mix"? The same track, but with better mixing? I have the 5,6 MB version.

I stumbled upon a link yesterday that I’m pretty sure is a new mix. Same exact recording but “smoother.” Like the drums around as loud, I think.

maybe it’s just a difference in file quality? Idk.

Let’s stop speculating who I am

Hmm... How do you feel about El Generico?

Last thing I’ll add here, if the new Terminator movie has a new Guns song, I’d die.

Tim Miller did great with the first Deadpool and having Linda back is really cool but I was turned off by the dopey looking chick with the bowl cut and lumbar lordosis.

But it'd be great to have GNR in a movie again so I'd probably shell out some milk money to go see it.

Give them a cameo as skeletons in the hell scape.

Let’s... get back to speculating when the new album will drop

Election Day would be good... in 2020.

New Years Eve has a vibe to it but the label would probably want it before Thanksgiving or Christmas at a push.

No idea on movie tie-ins and what not but let's go... March 6 2020

It's definitely not "storm is" but "stormy". I think it's "a stormy lifting". Unsure of "lifting" though, really hard to figure out that one.

As for the rest of the lyrics, it's 100% accurate.

Movies coming out around that time are Bad Boys For Life, a reboot of The Grudge, Legally Blonde(s), a Doctor Doolittle reboot, Peter Rabbit 2, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

I think the thought behind it was to establish the new GNR under the Guns N' Roses banner, and having a guest star, or a bunch of guest stars doesn't really help establish a guy like Ron, Robin, DJ or Richard as "part of the band," but still... that May solo was killer. I reiterate, I love Ron Thal as a musician and a human being - having met him several times. I'm sure he will agree; his solo on Catcher is just lacking compared to May's.
