I think I prwfer Ron's solo on the album version (Buckets solo on the demo is a bit meandering and directionless), but as a whole, it's definitely more listenable than the album version, which just has too much going on. I also like Silkworms, i remember when I finally decided to listen to it as a kid I was dreading it because of all the hate the song was getting online, only to be pleasantly surprised. It's not Axl's best but it's certainly not my world quality. If all the unreleased songs leaked and the '99 Silkworms didn't I'd be bummed because I'd have to put the bumble hard pan version in with the unreleased tracks on a CDII playlist. I believe this demo is too early to have a Bucket solo included, so it's likely Robin on this one I'd love to hear an earlier version of Shackler's with a Bucket solo in place of Bumble's though.
