Popular Post default_
Crystal clear guitars on Atlas are gold. CD shouldve been released as this. Edited September 24, 2019 by default_
Live Like a Suicide
My immediate thoughts - I love Madagascar as an opener. It really sends a powerful message and the impact at the start is amazing. I am very happy to get a complete and better quality version of Perhaps. It is by far my favourite song with vocals. Atlas Shrugged sounds great too!

Totally agree. Atlas and Perhaps are great in this quality. This should have been released in 2000. Imagine the difference it would have made from 2008...
BucketFinckFortus
The Blues is perfect. Robin's lick after the solo and on the beginning is so damn missed. Only thing I'd change is remove Silkworms, put IRS and The Blues as the closer and that album would be a big hit in 2000.
2020_Intensions
Wait ... Is this actually 2000 Intensions? Track order & all ?

TeeJay410
So we could call this the original chinese democracy? Or at the very least a snapshot of the intended 2001 version?

Not confirmed, but as it has ALL the new songs they played in 2001-02, the quality is crystal clear and it's the #1 CD of "rough mixes", I'd say probably

Not confirmed, but it could be likely. All the songs are essentially complete and roughly mixed. Sounds great, and i'm really disappointed this wasn't released as is in 2000. -W.A.R-
My favorite leak so far. This is basically the album he had planned in its rawest form.
TeeJay410
Haven't gotten to listen yet, do these have the wierd audio watermarks of skipped beats and stereo fuckery that previous versions of atlas and perhaps had?
default_
This mix sounds fantastic to me, gives the songs a certain 70s vibe. This will probably turn my to go CD.
2020_Intensions
Just confused it's missing IRS ? Or was that intended for II .. ? Hmm ..

Probably not tracklist but I would imagine the album would have been similar to this. Question for for everyone who was a super fan in the late 90s early 2000s- would you have enjoyed the album more had it been released during that time period? My answer is yes. I would have enjoyed it so much more. By the time it released in 2008 it was anticlimactic. Edited September 24, 2019 by Arnuld
Live Like a Suicide
"You only have 2 or 3 good songs," says an incompetent producer. This tracklist is full of gems. The only song i object to is Silkworms, but even then it works as an aggressive closer to an album (and not unlike My World UYI II). It's a disgrace this wasn't released.
GNRfanJen
I am simply gobsmacked. What a difference on Atlas, it’s like it’s from another galaxy. And Perhaps, my favorite. It sounds even more godly unfucked with. The title track is the most badass version of them all. What an absolutely incredible day.
BucketFinckFortus
Listening to how it's mixed mostly, I'd say there's a pretty big chance this is actually the album as Axl originally wanted. All the other leaks sound less finished than this, especially listening to these versions of Atlas and Perhaps.
TeeJay410
Finally mixing. These should be everyone's definitive versions of Perhaps and Atlas. Wow wow wow. I am fucking screaming this wasn't released. Holy fucking shit.

TeeJay410
I have always been willing to die on Riad hill, but this might be the best version. How raw this shit is, my god. I do miss some buckethead stuff, but overall this > chinese democracy.

It’s so funny I used to go to the old mygnr.com and there used to be an album release date header and it always said summer 2000. I just feel like that was the perfect time
BucketFinckFortus
I'm literally having goosebumps listening to Maddy. Much better than CD's version, Axl's message to the world he's back. Fuck Bob Erzin, if this album was released GN'R's future would be much brighter, no momentum lost, the new band would be huge in the 2000's.
TeeJay410
Have those very light vocals in bridge of silkworms been in any other version?
