We did talk the Stones/GNR/Living Colour show where Axl fell of the stage, Matt Sorum scoring "Pauly Shore is Dead" and the "Where's Axl?" show idea for MTV. I also played the Encino Man clip where he suggests naming the caveman Axl, but he didn't remember that haha. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/518f643a-1fbb-408a-b86c-a6f958ba1b79?fbclid=IwAR02S20O7_0aXFP4hdUCeCMKy194TWTl9ammWJQvM8LodVsBx54ghqNFSrI Edited November 8 by Gambit83
hudsonsaul 47 Posted November 8 I was once involved in a pitch for "Where's Axl?" show/doco - obviously it didn't happen (this was ages ago now well before CD was released). Curious as to if this is the same thing, or some dude pinched my idea and rolled with it further. Will have a listen.
Gambit83 1,295 Posted November 8 (edited) - Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose almost appeared on ‘Totally Pauly’ in the mid-90’s on MTV with Matt Sorum, but he rejected the offer from Pauly Shore. Shore told the story on a new Appetite for Distortion podcast episode. “We wanted to do a thing called ‘Where’s Axl’ week, where it’s basically me and Matt looking for Axl Rose. So I pitched Matt, ‘Hey Matt, let’s do a week episode called Where’s Axl, and we started looking for him and we go all these places, and we find him in his trailer, wherever he’s f**king living.’ So Matt calls Axl, and says, ‘Hey, this is what we want to do.’ Axl says, ‘F**k that, I don’t want to be involved with Pauly Shore.’ It’s hilarious, he basically shit on me. He shit on me because he was serious. I don’t know Axl, I don’t think I’ve ever met him before, but I was obviously a huge fan.” Edited November 8 by Gambit83

He looks pudgy, it’s hilarious. Because we’re all a little pudgier, but he’s really pudgier. His head is like a circle now.” Sadly, it would has been great idea! But if Axl read it that Shore said , about Axl appareance don't think that Axl can be very happy...
lame ass security 1,057 Posted November 8 Pauly was kind of the man for partying frat boy types back in the day. My friends and I would get drunk and bug the hell out of people with the "hey buuuudy" thing.😄 Good times. 1
TheSeeker 1,185 Posted November 9 From a review of the Vegas 12/29/2001 show: http://www.gnrontour.com/sets2001/20011229reviews.html Quote Rick Rubin, Pauly Shore, and Owen Wilson were at the show. Robin Finck's guitar tech said 68 songs done - working on 14 more. Some dude in line claimed to have clips from the Vegas DVD that some girl hooked him up with.

circusboy666 23 Posted November 10 Pauly Shore is comedic genius. Pauly Shore is Dead is a classic. Can’t even fathom people not liking that character he’s created.
