TIL

Double Talkin' Jive Motherfucker (Argentina 92 slash on his knees)

Rocket queen (live era)

Coma

Better

I've just put the songs and I know RQ on live era gets a lot of flak. But I kinda really like how much slash's guitar stands out and it meant i could play along with the rhythm back when i bothered to pick up my now dusty guitars!

I always thought RQ live era had a Tom Morello vibe.

Also, Robin's solo spot in Tokyo 07.

I can't find that one right now, but is that the same as bluesy one he played at other shows in '06 and '07, e.g. Mexico 2007? Really dug that.

1. Nightrain Outro

Of all the songs to end with a fade on the album, it had to be Nightrain :( Such a shame, the outro solo is fucking killer live when played in full.

Yeah, it's the blues solo he did. He started playing it in the NA tour, but I think it got much better in the Asia leg in 2007 (the Mexico one is still good though). I love the Tokyo one because he didnt fuck it up that much hahaha

And I agree about the Nightrain outro. Locomotive outro also should have no fade.

Off the top of my head:

1) This I Love

2) Paradise City (outro solo)

3) Estranged (last solo)

4) There Was A Time (Buckets solo)

5) Better (Robin's solo)

6) Bad Apples

7) Civil War (second solo)

8) November Rain (second solo, Robin's version)

9) Patience (Robin's version)

10) Mr Brownstone

There Was A Time (Bucket)

Catcher In The Rye (Brian May)

This I Love

Better

November Rain (Finck Rio 2001)

Patience (Finck Rio 2001)

Estranged

Nightrain (Bucket)

Rocket Queen

Controversial, So Fine.

Not in that order

Bucket's TWAT solo and Brian's Catcher would be my top 2 at this time I think.

It was one of the few bad decisions they did regarding AFD

Ha I saw this reply on the "posts" part of the main page not seeing the post you replied too and immediately guessed you were talking about the fact that Nightrain has a fade out lol.

I always turn the volume up as loud as it can go while it fades out so I can hear as much of it as I possibly can

1.Slash’s last Estranged Solo (Studio)

2.Bucket’s TWAT Solo (Studio)

3.Bucket’s Nightrain Solo (Live)

4.Robin’s TIL Solo (Studio)

5.Slash’s WttJ Solo (Studio)

6.Slash’s Locomotive Outro (Live)

7.Slash’s Rocket Queen Outro (Live)

8.Slash’s Pretty Tied Up Outro (Live)

9.Slash’s Mr. Brownstone Solo (Studio)

10.Slash’s November Rain Outro (Studio)

SCOM is so overplayed at this point that I’d rather not count it.

We should campaign for a Nightrain with no fade at the end. It does suck, we need to hear how it really ends

And the long version of 14  Years!

Slash - Dont Damn Me solo

Slash - Sweet Child O Mine solo

Slash - Rocket Queen Last solo

I almost included that Don't Damn Me solo on my list. I think Slashs work on the last several tracks of UYI I is fantastic.

1. Better (DJ Ashba)

2. Perhaps (Brian May or Robin?)

3. Hardschool (Robin Finck?)

4. TWAT (Buckethead)

5. November Rain (Slash)

6. Shackler's Revenge (Bumble, though would love to hear a Bucket take beyond the village leak)

7. Sweet Child (Slash)

8. If the World (Buckethead)

And many, many more. 1. is a joke by the way. Replace it with:

1. This I Love (Robin)

Perhaps solo is Robin as far as I know.

Hardschool has a lot of stuff going on. If you're talking about the first solo after the 2nd chorus and some riff section, it's clearly Robin. After that through the end, I think it's Robin and Bucket sharing leads at the same time.

I agree with Buckethead at the end of Hardschool, I can hear him playing.

Has anyone reached out to Brian May with Atlas and Perhaps? Would be interesting to see what he says.

I'm 100% sure its Brian May in Atlas. That's unmistakable his tone, style and even the octave effect.

Perhaps sounds different, though. The solo sounds a lot more like what Robin does in SOD, and with the tone and even feedback noise a bit more like what he used in TIL and a bit of TWAT.

Good observations. If I recall correctly, Brian may said he worked on two and a half songs, or something of the like. Maybe only bits of his work were on Perhaps (if any)

With how complete/finished Perhaps sounded in 2000, I'm surprised it didn't make CD. Maybe it fits in better with CD2.

I think he didn't do anything in Perhaps, people just assumed it was him because of the track's style (uptempo piano ballad).
