GN’R Greatest Hits Vinyl - release Sept 25th

Recommended Posts

Was never happy with the compilation itself but I like what they've done with the design. Got it pre-ordered.

Damn damn damn. GN'R has figured out how to get my money. The completionist inside me will not allow me to pass this up even though I don't need it at all.

My thoughts exactly.

You win, Fernando.

Also just realized that with the inclusion of SOYL and Frank all but confirming that he played on it, that means we now have a Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits album with Frank Ferrer on it. Even as a Frank fan I truly never thought we'd live to see the day.

Just ordered the picture disc version. Goddammit!

Not quite the new album we were hoping for...

Strangely includes SOYL too.

No joke. I seriously thought this was just a bootleg.

That being said, at least they’re doing SOMETHING, I guess. Nice to finally have this release on vinyl. Funny that they’re adding SOYL. They should’ve added a real new song instead, but it’s whatever at this point.

The Silver colored vinyl is a Walmart exclusive for anyone looking for that one.

This is actually a cool idea. I kinda assumed that it was already available on vinyl.

I see they added SOYL and have the reasons:

INCLUDES THE BAND’S TOP FIVE HIT “SHADOW OF YOUR LOVE”

Why not just whack CD on there too?

Hoping that HD footage means we'll get more video re-releases like when the AfD boxset came out.

Do I wish there was a new single on there? Yes.

Posted (edited)

Anyone gonna update the Wikipedia page with the revised tracklist for this?

Also, does anyone find it weird that they’re adding SOYL (I assume it’s the lead single version) to this but nothing from ChiDem?

EDIT: I’m also surprised they left SFTD on there, given the controversy around that one. If I were them I woulda at least switched that one out for UTLH or something.

I found it weird to have Sympathy for the Devil still on there myself after how upset slash was over it.

Yeah I would have thought the title track from ChiDem would at least be added. But this is the same team that has led to exactly 0 music videos being released for CD as of 2020.

I'm glad SFTD is still on there. Their cover rocks and show be in rotation with rocket queen in the setlist.

It makes sense this is being released... After all, it’s the only thing Axl, Slash and Duff agreed on between 1996 and 2016.  Just a minor detail that they banded together to STOP the release of this comp... funny how things change sometimes

God damn it. I literally just ordered the S&M2 vinyl and now this? Walmart is gonna be the best bet. Never thought i’d say that about vinyl.
