Most Technically Skilled Guitarist....

Recommended Posts

well, i think buckethead is the fastest player around. but that doesnt make him the best

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What about Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro)??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Steve Vai would eat him alive... He's fast, but nowhere as good as Vai.

Most Technically Skilled: Steve Vai.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

NO ONE is as technically proficient as michael angelo batio, that's a fact.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

:book: Yep

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What do you mean "Yep"? Do you even know what you are talking about? Get some of Steve Vai's DVD's and watch him live. Go ahead...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

really? can steve vai play one of these? batiolg.gif

here's some video of him using one

Indeed.

Also, if that isn't enough for you, get the G3'03 Live in Denver DVD. Vai uses his Triple Neck Guitar, and it is some of the best guitar playing I have ever seen. I would rip it and upload it, but it would be considered as posting warez... and well...

Now, not that i'm trying to jump on either bandwagon here -- but Michael Angelo plays a quad guitar....

All this Double, Triple, Quad and Five necked guitars are SO Spinal Tap

It's like Nigel saying: See other bands, they only have one neck on their guitars, but where can you go from there? nowhere you stuck in second gear, see i have 3 necks on my guitar so i can push it that little bit more.

I vote Chuck Shuldiner from Death. He was pretty sick. Vai, Malmsteen, Angelo are all just show boaters. Not really guitarists that you'd see in bands as orignal as GN'R, Slayer, Death, Iron Maiden... Ect. They are technically proficient, but lack in creativity.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeah...but his was a thread bout' who was most TECHNICALLY skilled though,..

And Chuck was probably the most technically skilled guitarist, that's why I mentioned him.

:lol::lol::lol:

Ah no, Vai is a billion times more skilled than he is,

And Vai's stuff is listernable too, now that takes skill!

Listernable? That is skill.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well if some thing is very hard to play, yet sounds shit, the it's useless.

Vai always as done incredible guitar work that is almost impossible to play, yet at the sme time sounds amazing and great to listern to. That takes skill

To save me making a new thread, I'll post here.

I just downloaded Steve Vai's The Audience Is Listening.  I love the song so can anyone suggest any other good Vai songs?

Tender Surrender

For The Love Of God

Jibboom

Whispering A Prayer

Icantation

Blue Powder

Hand On Heart

Erotic Nightmares

Listen to those.

Speed isnt everything you fools. David Gilmour. Best technical guitarist

ummm....yeah..whatever....vai....

another shred head. take a step from vais ass and come join the real world

Wait what the hell. The Real World... dude... Vai is not a shred head. Malmsteen is a shred head. Michael Angelo is a shred head. Watch the difference between Yngwie and Vai live.

Vai played with the Mothers Of Invention and Whitesnake so he has band expirience and he's creative as hell. Just listen to The Ultra Zone.

Amen,

I love Gilmour's work, he's amazing.

But to call Vai a mindless shredder is just bollocks.
