But do you realize how silly it is to complain when they finally do something, perpetuating the myth that fans can never be pleased? I am dying for a new record. I want new material more than anything. But they are finally at least putting some shit up on youtube for us to watch and people instantly complain. I know for a fact once a new record does drop (if ever) there will be people here immediately bitching about it.

I like the idea of selects.. They honestly aren't collectively good enough to release a whole show. Releasing the "select" best performances sounds like the right move to me. I already shared the link with a couple people. I really hope they do this right and release something awesome.. As flawed as this band/lineup is I still want them to look good. Fingers crossed.

I find it so strange that a forum mostly filled with middle-aged men(I assume) get so fixated on the looks of a 60 year old guy. It's like, of all the things potentially wrong with the band, Axl haircut was what made your decision not to go? Seriously? And even weirder, it's just a normal haircut, that plenty of men of all ages have. Not sure why people see it as an issue. It's not like they're the Pussycat Dolls or something. How they look really shouldn't affect whether you want to go to the show or not.

If would be much better if it was a full show, but credit where credit is due if Fernando has put together something decent here. It is certainly a step in the right direction.

Laziness. It takes a lot of effort to be transparent and communicate. And they think it adds an air of mystery. And that made sense during the early Chinese Era (2001-2006) and kinda made Guns seemed cooler. But now it’s just fucking stupid. It’s a huge corporate touring entity. So the secrecy comes off as childish and unprofessional. Every other band at Guns level is completely transparent.

Sounded really good to me. Was cool to see some good footage besides shitty cell phone stuff. I hope they put out a best of NITL Live dvd- I would love to have it... They’ve (Fernando) really made me embarrassed lately, but some more of this and it’ll be headed in the right direction.

Well, all this confirms is that this is Slash’s band. He’s the big draw. And I’m an Axl guy.

Chinese Democracy is a worthy GNR song. Slash does the damn thing on it.

I like to play for an audience. I used to like to be in a creative band, writing stuff. But every time, it seemed like I was the only one pushing for playing gigs and/or actually work on new stuff. My last band, back in 2007, was just a group of some rich dudes who were more than happy to pay for rehearsal studio and not do anything to come actually prepared. We used to spent hours just for the guys to learn how to play the song. If they keep uploading a few songs from various concerts, then we'll eventually get a "full show" but they can pick performances where Axl sounds consistently good. I'm happy with that.

I thought it was fun. It was nice to see them pick songs like DTJ and CD instead of the same ol Jungle, PC and SCOM. It looked awesome and sounded good Honestly though it really makes me want a full show. Give us a 2016 show in this quality please. Pleeeaaaase.

I will say, my bitching aside, if this becomes a weekly thing and paves the way for lots of proshot GNR videos from different eras and years I am all for it and think its a step in the right direction If its a few week thing and fizzles out with just 2017-2020 videos, then its fucked

Every time they use it I cringe too. It is horrible. We are fans not fam and most of us are over 35+ years old. The band members nearing 60 years old. Dont talk to us like we are cool young hipsters in our teens. We are adults.

That for sure wasn't worth a fraction of the Youtube purge, where we had dozens of videos where Axl actually sounded like a professional singer as opposed to this.

This band really seems to lack any cohesion. Slash's playing is all over the place and surprisingly sloppy. I used to think that the problem with the previous soundboards we had was the lack of mixing, but no, it's the band.

My god do I miss hearing Slash live in living color. Fuck covid-19, man.

My favourite Slash solo in recent years is the one on Too Far Gone. That is the Slash of Use Your Illusion. No excess wankery, no noodling. Just a straightforward, melodic solo that is right to the point. I'd agree that his live improvising these days leans too much on the noodling.

If it's songs like Easy, CD and DTJ, it won't make too much of a difference, so I'm happy with that. Hopefully if they drop videos of WTTJ, Nightrain, OTGM, etc it's from 2016 tho.

All of this is so goddamn GNR. Their Nightrain forum would be a perfect place to have AMAs with band members or management. But instead it's a barren wasteland. A second version of GNR Truth, with Mojo creating and moderating all the posts as if he's an actual moderator. TB is so delusional it's absolutely ridiculous.
