How does she feel about the controversial GnR song "One in a Million"? What racist experiences has she faced? Please join us for a necessary discussion.

  6. She says they are like big brothers. Axl did this During a 2018 show at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii, she felt a tug on her hair midway through a song. She looks back and sees Axl Rose standing there with a big chunk of blue hair in one hand and a large pair of scissors in the other. “I’m like, ‘What the fuck is going on?'” she says. “I stopped playing and started screaming. He runs away and I don’t know if he’s taken off a huge chunk or what.” It turns out the hair wasn’t hers — it was all a practical joke that Axl spent weeks meticulously plotting out. He even had a tour assistan

To bring it back to Matt's book. Since he is the latest band member or former band member and will never be a band member again who has written his book, we have a nice list of GnR books . Fernando wrote his children's book for GnR fans buy it up as latest, wonderful GnR merchandise at GnR official site . I think Matt's, Steven's books should be on sale at GnR official site since they were ,at least, by Gn

  16. I kinda felt sorry for him while reading it. Yes, there were times when he behaved like an imbecile. And Im sure he’s embellished a few points here and there. But he got fucked over quite a few times from Slash and Duff. Plus, he was one of the few that didn’t cater to Axl’s diva behavior back in the day. He said it like it was, maybe honest to a fault with the red- headed one, which ultimately was his demise (and still has a major impact on his ability to work and make cash with the band to this day).

  19. The only way "black lives matters" could be construed to mean anything more than that, like "only black lives matter" or "blacks lives matter more", is by ill-will. You are basically taking a clear statement and adding some nefarious meaning to it which isn't there. As I said before, do you think "save the whales" mean "and fuck the tigers!!"?

  20. Honestly, this is akin to taking a charity like 'Save the Children' or 'Help the Aged' and going, 'oh...oh...OH, so only children should be saved? or 'yeah, cuz no one else deserves help apart from the elderly eh?'

  21. I think it’s fine as it is. It’s not like it’s called “Only Black Lives Matter”. Anybody with half a brain knows exactly what the slogan means and if they don’t it’s not exactly rocket surgery to use google.

  23. Yes. GN'R and Metallica argued a bit over who would open for some of the shows. Axl wanted Bodycount while Metallica wanted Motorhead. Axl would later, from the stage, imply that part of the reason for this was Hetfield being racist. The necessary context is that Axl was very pissed off at Metallica and Hetfield at the time, among other because of Hetfield making fun of Axl's tour rider. So it's been hard to conclude on this, was Axl just being spiteful and made some wild claims? People found it hard to take Axl seriously considering One in a Million and what they considered blatant hypocrisy,

  24. For a band ‘brave’ enough to put that COVID shirt up for sale, Del James just posted that he stands in solidarity with his bros construction co. That defended a Gucci store against looters. Does anybody give an actual fuck about how much $$ Gucci is losing? Its pennies. They sell 5 dollars of fabric for thousands.

  25. During the GnR/Metallica tour, Roberta witnessed part of a conversation between Axl, Slash and James Hetfield (she happened to be passing by). They were talking about Ice-T and she heard Hetfield saying "I'm not sharing the same stage with a n*er". She said she was shocked, Axl reacted but she doesn't remember what he said. She said she hasn't talked about this before because if she did doors in the music business would close for her, but now she felt the need to say it. The whole interview is really very interesting and worth watching.

  26. Watching now... Great interview! So Axl was right after all in that rant in Sacramento 1993: "I watched the man named James prove that - you know, since I’m supposed to be the 'rock racist,' cuz I used a word once? I watched the man show me that he was a motherfucking racist. He's got a real big problem with Ice-T and any black man, actually."

  29. I've read Duff's, Slash's and Matt's book now and I definitely think Matt comes off as the worst. Duff manages to to come across (or at least make himself seem) like a decent guy in his book and there is a certain depth and poignancy to his book that most rock star biographies sorely lack. And it's a lot more tasteful and inspiring than most. Slash does come off like an asshole a couple of times in his book, but on the whole I didn't want to strangle him while reading his book and the book itself is a pretty good read imo. More like a typical rock star biography than Duff's, but stil

  32. If saying "all lives can't matter until black lives matter" is twisted, it's surely only twisted in yoir mind. You're saying "all lives matter", which is a great theory except for that fact that it's been proven over and over that black lives don't matter. So in order for "all lives" to matter, black lives have to matter. You can say "everyone should be treated equally" all you want, but everyone ISN'T treated equally and that's the problem. Here's Michael Che to hopefully help you understand better:

  33. I guess the question about her age has finally been answered then. "A couple of weeks before Guns N’ Roses kicked off their 2016 reunion tour, keyboardist Melissa Reese got a call from Chinese Democracy producer Caram Costanzo. “We may be looking for a keyboard player,” she remembers him saying. “I didn’t even realize he was talking about me. Then he said, ‘What are you doing for the next few years?’” Many thoughts flooded her head at once. First off, Reese was just 25 and didn’t really know the Guns N’ Roses catalog outside of mega-hits like “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Welcome

  36. That's a good point. There's a chance that unlike the rest he has diaries and other notes because he's always been that way. That doesn't mean there wouldn't be bias in what he wrote but there's likely to be more accuracy in timelines and events. Reading about Matt's biography and some of the stuff that is contradictory to other members or is off in terms of when it happened made me have a think about how much I remember from 20/30 years ago. It's really hard without any kind of record (photos, videos, documents) to actually place some memories in context. I was prepping for a job in

  37. Only if you think it means that black lives matter more than other lives, or that only black lives matter. But of course it doesn't. This is all in your head. Your argument is basically as backwards as thinking that "save the whales" means that we should "kill all tigers". The expression simply states something that should be entirely noncontroversial to everybody but racists: that black lives matter. And in a world where it seems like many people don't agree with this, it needs to be stated.

  38. Because white privilege, if I understand the concept, has nothing to do with the other races and their ability to get ahead in life, its about the disparity in social perceptions amongst races. See the problem with this shit is that it functions on the basis of generalisations and thats always dangerous but I guess the idea is whiteboys have an easier ride in regards to not having, broadly speaking, to concern themselves with racial perception or where their race stands them in relation to a given situation in fields like employment or social standing. Honestly, its kind of a bullshit term b

To give it that extra oomph I decided to use a crude steak knife instead of one of those clean and precise letter openers. I wanted to have that tearing and ripping sound match the visual of bloodstains on that envelope. Put it in the viewers mind's psychologically that whoever had it in their possession before met a gory ending. Just wait until you see the next one and the ones after that. Shit's gonna get amped up. Well, some of the European dates scheduled for this year got rescheduled to next year (I’ll update the tour dates in the OP) - the gigs outside Europe, as well as all of the festivals and a few of the European headline shows were flat out cancelled. That’s a particularly sore subject with me right now - personally because I was supposed to do all of the non-European gigs this year, but also because I really think it’s unfair Europe took priority over the co
