  1. I think you guys are reading too much into it. Axl was offstage before Bruce and it seems like Bruce just wanted to follow Axl quickly. Whilst doing this he had a smile on his face. I think he really enjoyed the performance but thought the whole event wasn’t the right setting to remain on stage after the end of the song. Take in mind that the audience wasn’t his casual fans but lots of other celebrities. In fact, I think it was smart that both, Axl and Bruce, immediately left the stage.

  3. 13 Florida Marlins players tested positive for COVID-19. Not sure I see a point in keeping pro sports going at this point. Baseball is the most socially distant team sport there is in North America. If baseball players can't be protected, what chance to football, hockey, or basketball players have? Just call it a day and restart next year.

  5. Yeah, check that HOF show, iirc he just walked off the stage leaving Bruce and the boys playing and smiling.😄 Also, Slash played a great version of Red House with Boz Scaggs.

  6. Yeah my thoughts exactly. None of it makes any sense really. Especially from a Europe perspective, where we've heard absolutely nothing.

  8. Dropping a new song would certainly cheer me up about this shambolic tour situation. Even a solid album update. Album title. A new song title. Anything. I'm not remotely interested in the tour at this point, I just want my money back.

  9. '87 - '94 Axl duets were sublime. There isn't one of them where I thought Axl was out-performed by his singing partner. It didn't matter if it was The Boss, Jagger, Elton, Bono, Tyler, or Petty - Axl came with his A game with the intent to take over. It was glorious!

  10. This is not correct. It's actually the other way around. Robin left in August 1999, before Buckethead came into the picture, and went to tour with NIN. Then he returned to GnR about a year later, when Buckethead was already in, but was undecided on whether he would stay after Rock in Rio. It can be speculated that it was because he and Buckethead weren't getting along. Then in mid-2001 Buckethead left or almost left, probably part of the reason being that he and Robin weren't getting along but there were other reasons as well.

  11. I'll read the book when it comes out. I really don't mind Matt dishing out the dirt though. What makes Slash and Duff so fucking untouchable? I liked Duff's book, it was very well written, but the political corectness annoyed me. Tell us something interesting for fucks sake. Burst some bubbles. He said so little about so many interesting things yet went on and on and on about his martial arts mumbo jumbo. Who gives. I bet I'll enjoy Matt's gossip more.

  13. So after all the bitchin' n' whining about Slash being a backstabbing demon, Matt is wishing Slash a happy birthday all over social media.

  14. I agree with this and I think that Duff, while diplomatic, also had a really refreshing perspective. Duff's mindset was hey who am I to lay blame considering I was messed up on drugs too and probably wasn't easy to deal with at times. Whereas with Matt it isn't simply just dishing the dirt but at the same time not having any real self-reflection of his part in the dysfunction - hell even dressing up the dysfunction and debauchery as badass rock n' roll antics and not the former lol

  15. There are rumors the video's that were released were not the full videos. There are also more videos that haven't been released. And the corresponding radar data on the previously released videos and any subsequent video's will need to be released too. If we have pilot and other personnel testimony backed up by full length video's and radar returns, the debunkers are going to be out of options of saying this is another airplane, seagulls, or canopy reflections. And that's not even going into the actual physical retrievals, which if they exist, will need to be presented and studied.

  16. I guess my problem is that I'm a little bit too much Mulder while I maybe should be a little bit more Scully. It's hard to believe that there isn't any life on other planets when you realize how big the universe is, but beings from other planets visiting us? I don't know, if they are thousands or maybe millions of years ahead of us in technology and are able to do things that we cannot even comprehend yet, why not? Doesn't mean every UFO story or sighting is real obviously, I try to be as sceptical as possible, but for example when I listen to that Lazar guy and try to read him... then I belie

  18. It's more than two guys, the authors of the NYT piece say there are more than just Elizondo and Davis who think these metamaterials and footage captured by pilots are of off-world vehicles. It's just those two who are on the record as of now. If the testimony by the Navy pilots is close to the truth and the radar data (that hasn't been released yet) backs them up, then the vehicles they encountered fly at hypersonic speeds, can stop on a dime, move around air-space as if it were a "ping pong ball in a cup" (quote from Commander Fravor), have no visible exhaust, have no wings, and go in an

  20. I think the tour is technically/officially "postponed". At the end of the day they (DUH) just want to keep/hold our money...at minimum they will make a lot in interest alone. Glad they finally offering refunds up, only took all summer.

  21. This thread has rekindled my love of vinyl! I've been going a little crazy, filling out my GnR and solo LPs and singles collection. Finding a (new to me) Izzy song from a single I never had was a real gem! And thanks to Discogs, I even bought the Izzy Live EP from Japan on CD that I had always wanted

  23. It sounds like he was just saying the band's touring schedule was uncertain beyond playing the Rock in Rio date. It does not sound like it was meant to be his status in the band was in question. The Azoff speculation, for those who have asked, started from a certain overweight wrestler (so take it for what you will). The wrestler claimed Azoff basically tried to "freeze" Tommy and Robin out of the band in 2007/2008 by blocking any of their communications to Axl. His hope was that it would put Axl in a spot where he felt he had to go back to Slash and Duff, and Azoff would be responsible f

  24. Thanks. The translation is correct. It makes me think those Village Sessions were affected by that uncertain status of the band. I mean, Brain also says he wouldn't be in all the CD tracks in that same interview. Robin doesn't really like to do interviews lol. At least this is not as cringy as that video from the guitar channel.

  25. You're right about SCOM intro. I mean, it's as clear sound as a guitar sound can get, there's no other instruments going on to make it difficult to understand the tone. About the iRig: let me stress it, I have the 1st gen iRig. I bought it 9 years ago lol. The current ones, as far as I know, are good enough for home recordings. Surely you may want a proper interface with more options for acoustic or microphone with phantom power. That's a great find, thanks. I still didn't read the whole article, but I think it sounds cool. Thought the Tele he used were already bright enoug

  28. Tell us what the fuck is happening. Give us some sort of damn idea what the hell the plan is and where our money is. This really shouldn't be that fucking hard. Total radio silence from the band just shows utter contempt towards fans and their money. No apology, no acknowledgement of our patience, just nothing. This incident is getting towards being the final straw for me with this band. If you can't treat me and my money with even the most basic levels of respect, then I'll take it elsewhere. Give everyone, everywhere a fucking refund or tell us what the plan is. Because if

  30. I guess it's a matter of either wanting to air you dirty laundry in public or not. I mean, everyone has some dirt on people they know well, but you can choose to be classy and respectful. And obviously Duff chose that route and told an interesting and reflecting story of his journey without throwing anyone under the bus. I think there's nothing wrong with that.

  33. Yeah, we'll see how much the public agrees with your sentiment. I predict they won't be big fans. My bottom line is people have been severely underpaid in this country for decades because of bad policies supported by members of both parties. Extra unemployment shouldn't be taken away until this pandemic is truly over.

  34. Yeah, a lot of people really like that duet. I find it to be more of a mixed bag. At least Petty didnt run off the stage the second it ended, like The Boss did. lol I adore the voice Axl uses in the verses. Might be the most 'real' Axl singing we've gotten, along with Its Alright. Like thats how he'd sing along to that song at home. Its neat to feel like you get behind the veil of his epic vocal performances. There a purity to it. And it sounds beautiful. Im not into the banshie scream chorus though. It seems unrehearsed. (I have a faint recollection that this may in fact be the case

  41. The song was written during the Appetite sessions and a journalist said he'd heard a demo of it when GnR were in England in June 1987. Duff testified in Steven's lawsuit trial that he wrote the drum part and showed it to Steven. Matt also said in a 1993 interview that Duff came up with the idea of the intro drum beat, although I think in a later interview he said he wrote it himself.

  42. Thought it was kinda hard to read the whole article on my screen (getting older sucks), but I do think TSI is an underrated album even with the fans. And outside the fanbase, mostly because the single Since I Don't Have You gave the wrong impression.

  43. I just finished the book and in fact Matt talks bad about nearly every single person he mentions in his book. Yes, it might be the GNR camp that stopped the release. But it also could be, just to give one example, Stephanie Seymour who simply doesn’t want a book to be published which states that she rubbed Matts balls under a table and tried to fuck the whole band behind Axl‘s back. Anyway, even if only half of the book is true, it takes a lot of glory from GNR and everything related (and I am not talking about the groupie thing because how could this be news to anyone?!) For insta
