  1. You better not pirate it, or they're gonna make this a federal case.

  2. Suit yourself by "LOL" ing at my views, but my wife is pregnant, I have a breathing issue, and two members of my wife's family have died of COVID. So people can LOL at me as much as they want, but until there's a vaccine I wont be sharing a sweaty mosh pit with 10,000 others.

  3. That's a bit harsh...Definitely Maybe and What's the Story are all killer no filler....I fucking love the obnoxious cocaine fueled Be Here Now...My Big Mouth is incredible, Dont Believe The Truth was great as well..

  4. I know she was excellent and the story was so shocking. I didn't get to see Lucifer yet. Hopefully next week. Both the 2 nd and 3 rd season of The Sinner was awesome too. Those writers have some excellent minds to come up with this stuff.

  5. Nostalgia is basically the easiest and most lazy thing any band, cultural entity or even person can do. Relying on having done something in the past requires zero engagement with the present. It's the bore in the pub telling you how great he was when he was younger while sitting on his arse all day. If they want to move beyond nostalgia that's going to take some focus and quite a bit of effort on their part. I'm not sure if either of those things are a GNR priority really anymore. Clarity would be great....but I think a lot of people like myself would just bring the shutters down

  6. Is there a definite answer to it? I think everybody has to answer it for his self. Either you like what Slash comes up with these days or you don't. Nobody can give you the answer to that but you.

  7. Not wrong but also not equatible to the coronavirus. Creating a vaccine for this virus is a lot more possible than something like cancer and HIV. A lot of the phase 3 candidates are very promising, and it's actually more likely one will be approved in the next few months than having them all fail @ToonGuns is being smart and logical right now, and it stands within reason that we will have a vaccine in the next 6 months or less

  8. What a topic...I tend to recieve bad reactions to my opinion about Slash actual playing. I wanna make clear Slash has always been my favorite guitar player. I know he cant play like Bucket or Malmsteen or Gilbert or Satriani...but his melodies and note choices made him number 1 for me. That said...its been quite a long time since I lost the appeal for his live playing. His UYI tour days were the best of the best for me. Just compare his version of DTJ or Godfather from those days or even KOHD and try comparing them to whatever he plays nowadays. This I love was HORRENDOUS, Y

  9. No! 😁There's no way Slash would say that. Maybe Slash when he was in 20s or 30s... but Slash hitting 60 is happy with touring and earning a lot of money, it's the icing on the cake if he gets to release his own music through GNR these days... other wise he just does SMKC on the side and gets his kicks from that. We care a million times more than Slash. But, I will point to the GNR guys being upset when Kirk Hammett called them out for being a nostalgia act as a sign that they don't want to be perceived that way... obviously they are a nostalgia act and everything they do feeds that, but

  10. He is never walking - he has the best of both worlds. I think we will get material based on what has been said by Slash himself re GNR and the fact he will likely be working on both (when is another matter)....however in what way/format is anyone’s guess. Is it possible they don’t think at this point the material is strong enough to put out? With song like Atlas/Perhaps/Hardschool in ‘the locker’ that’s clearly not the case IMO but maybe they think differently? If the new stuff was an a par quality wise with VR/CD/some Snakepit I’d be pleased but if it was SMKC level (not heard Tende

  11. Fuck Axl, if he can't get his shit together. What is Slash supposed to do, waste another 10 years? I wish they never did this "reunion". They (Axl, Slash, Duff) really killed Guns N' Roses. It's all over.

  12. I'm still glad they reunited but I wish they had ended the tour after 2017. Maybe made an effort to get Izzy and Steven for the AFD 30th anniversary, then moved on to something new. I agree with the last paragraph, I feel the same way.

  13. Do people actually believe that nonsense?! I'd take any vaccine to be honest (maybe not Putin's) if it worked and helped get things back to normal. But even with a vaccine I don't think I'd fork out £100+ for a ticket for 2021. The economic future of mine and my wife's careers are very uncertain to say the least.

  15. I love Oasis’ first two albums (Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory) and the b-side album The Masterplan (shame that “Round Are Way” isn’t on it, tho). The rest of the albums only have a few good songs here and there, imo.

  16. The only other one I can think of would be the B-side to Jungle on vinyl being Whole Lotta Rosie live which also ended up on the Live From The Jungle EP, and that is just a live cover of an AC/DC tune anyways I am now imagining a world where GNR used the B-sides to their singles as a way to put out tunes like Just Another Sunday that wouldn't have necessarily fit the albums they came out with and man that is yet another hugely missed opportunity for the band over the years

  17. Having thought about it more, what I remember (vaguely) is an interview with Slash where he basically said had he stayed in Guns he would have died etc etc, and he was that bored and messed up and that desperate at one point he nearly joined the Stone Roses, but was glad he didn't. I knew the "leather pants" story as well. It's late here now but will check some of my print interviews tomorrow. I could be wrong, but my brain is telling me otherwise!

  18. This information came from Stone Roses members. Slash has never confirmed it, as far as I know. https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-stone-roses-2-1197357 https://www.hotpress.com/music/slash-was-up-for-the-stone-roses-confirms-mani-2865707 It probably had to do with Doug Goldstein, who was going to manage the Stone Roses at the time (but he didn't, eventually). Interestingly enough, around the same time Zakk Wylde, who was managed by Goldstein, rehearsed with GnR.

  20. Kirk did another interview and mentioned that there was blowback from the gnr guys, basically saying they didn't want him to say stuff like that. He said he was happy they were back but hoped that it would also mean a new record in the bear future (2017 interview... sorry Kirk😄).

  21. It’s this bit - it’s a fine line.....keep stringing folk along whilst not having any real intention to release anything just means the crazies just cause more hassles (particularly on the forums) meaning TB get extra grief etc. If they publicly say there is no intention at this time then pressure is off and whatever happens ‘happens’. Yeah some folk will drift off but there will be enough casuals to keep the ship sailing. Anyway - I reckon we WILL get something and I’m sticking to it...😂. This got me thinking about the Stone Roses....only 2 albums, tried to do a 3rd but canned i

  22. Yeah, saw Queensryche many times. One of the last concerts I saw in Nassau coliseum with my mom and uncle. Queensryche performed all of Operation Mindcrime and most of Empire. What an amazing concert! Have seen them many times in Dallas too. With the original members and Geoff's new band. Was supposed to see him this spring, but the virus hit. Geoff's supposed to come back in December, but i don't want to take the chance because I still don't think it'll be safe to see concerts in small or large venues by then. Not even sure about 2021, but we'll see. I still have my tickets for Motl

  26. Looks like I have a US pressing then, hilarious. Had it years. The barcode made me think it was an EU pressing, and the FBI thing was on there as a gimmick or carried over from the US artwork, with just the barcode changed. Cheers btw

  27. Vicky Cornel has confirmed that this act had nothing to do with protests or riots and that it was the act of a lone, unwell, person who is set on besmirching his legacy. I guess she didnt even think to mention that earlier, because most people arent obsessed with Trumps boogeyman, anitfa

  28. He has an error in his technique. Because his guitar is slung so low, when he plays solos be needs to prop up the guitar. He uses the palm of his left hand to do so which slows him down especially when changing positions on the neck. Now that he’s often trying to play faster, this flaw is more noticeable.

  30. The Darkness definitely have a quirky sense of humour, but I absolutely would not put them in the Steel Panther mock band category. The Darkness are actually more sarcastic than funny or ironic (although there's clearly a bit of both, especially if you watch the videos). I don't know, I've just always loved them, probably a top 5 band that I've seen live too! I proudly defend the Hawkins brothers!😄I think the funny videos helped them in the beginning to get noticed, but now 18yrs later people just remember them as a goof band even though they have made some great songs (well if you like h

  31. I wouldn't, no. If the shows happen it will be very easy to get a ticket a couple of days before, as sales are very weak, and you'll most likely get one for a cheap price. I'm having tremendous difficulty getting my money back for a cancelled show, so personally wouldn't buy anything now if it's less than 99 per cent likely to happen.

  33. The amount of stuff Maiden have on YouTube is amazing, I’m working my way through the “history of” docs again. Wish to hell GNR could take a couple of pointers from Maiden.

  34. Oh no! Now you've let yourself down here with The Darkness! I absolutely dread to think what The Darkness rejected for their albums given some of the stuff they seemed to think acceptable for singles! I'm still recovering from hearing their 'comedy' Christmas song! Definitely not my cup of tea! I've just got a passionate dislike of any of these 'ironic' and 'funny' metal bands that popped up- Steel Panther etc. Each to their own though....and at least they all seem to release new music. So the joke is on clowns like me, still clinging onto the idea that someone might make a cl

  36. Yeah, everyone talks about the quality of their bsides, but almost all of their albums bar one are wildly inconsistent and full of filler. Bands/artists should only release bsides if they have enough quality material for their main albums imo.

  37. Dude, besides GNR Oasis is my fav band of all time 😄 They were the kings of b-sides, especially in the 90ies. But to be fair, I don’t expect any band to be that extreme in terms of b/sides like Oasis. But at least every band should offer a little bit as long as they release physical singles. Interesting side fact regarding Oasis: I read somewhere that they had to cut down the amount of b-sides from 3 to 2 during the times of the Standing LP because of a change of the single chart regulations in the UK. In specific, allegedly 4 track releases did no longer count as singles but as EPs

  40. Unfortunately you can not always match holidays, money savings etc to go with friends. I have been to a few NITL shows with friends and a few on my own. I liked both experiences. I saw Axl/Dc alone and it was and still is my best concert experience ever. Just epic.
