  1. I have been watching clips of Axl on Youtube since 86 until recent times, reading stuff on forums over this period and I feel exhausted! He has been through so much in his profesional and personal life, getting back on that stage after each disaster and downfall and giving it his all. On top of this is the torrent of criticism about everything from hair, body, clothes, voice, lifestyle, friends...there is love also but it is clouded with 'constructive' criticism. The others in the band have not had half the coverage or criticism or do they have the complicated mental health of Axl which c

  3. It's a good thing Guns isn't a relevant band anymore because Axl would be eaten alive in Twitter stan wars. Those kids are brutal. What I've seen said about him on here is tame in comparison. There's absolutely nothing wrong with expecting better/more from your favorite artists when it comes to performing or recording good music.

  4. Axl, all the years he played the victim while criticising everybody else. He was the first to point the finger and badmouth others in front of thousands of fans. and in every official gnr statement. Bear in mind his lyrics at Get in The Ring & Double Talking Jive. He was the one costing thousands of $$$ with his antics, late appearances, childish behaviour and riots etc. He never managed to keep a successful lineup long term with constant changes. He could not keep a woman in his life long term with at least two lawsuits of serious charges. He has been taken care of and even ma

  6. Simply can't rest until we get all the Chinese sessions; knowing there's so much material still buried in the vault from the 2001-2003 years is killing me, since all we got is a little snapshot. I've mentioned it in the past, but the people who curate Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series should get involved in whatever's sitting in the vault to distribute it. If it's something stupid like Team Brazil not wanting to give royalties to past band members, they need to stop being petty.

  8. If Axl and the people surrounding him were more transparent and honest about the state of the band and what's happening with it, there would be much less negativity surrounding Axl Rose & Team Brazil.

  10. People, I should stop reading MyGnr before going to bed. Last night I had a very detailed dream about a new album coming Just for fun, here's what I remember. So there was this short promo video launched by Amazon. It showed a black frog running towards the screen and some guy chasing it. Then the screen went black, and a red circle with the words "& Jesus" showed up. Really, & JESUS During the video you could hear a voice movie teaser style saying things like "What you've been waiting for is here", and this song was playing. Super funky, with a 4 on the floor beat, an

  11. The only reason we don't have new music is because it's kind of silly to write songs about Slash with Slash back in the band. And Slash was the one thing Axl wrote about after 1996. If you listen closely to Quick Song you just know he's yodeling about Slash.

  12. Same Old, same Old. Tell your boss he must love you even if you do nothing at work because you are not in the mood of doing anything. You have to understad what is at stake here. He gives his Best live, ok, but its not or free. I dont need new music to keep loving them but its easy to understand that lot of us need it to do so. Balance is the word.

  13. You make it sound as if axl isn’t at fault even slightly for the things that have happened to him over the years. He doesn’t deserve all the blame but certainly the lions share of where the band is now and how it was perceived in the past. It’s his fault for the severe lack of new music over the past two decades and nobody else’s. I’ve no doubt there were issues created by others but axl at times has used these excuses to do nothing. In the years after the UYI era line up disbanded, I’ll agree that slash and duff and Steven talked far too much about axl but axl is an adult and had the mea

  16. Hardschool is a fine rocker though (much better than AC/DC's new single), and Slash and Duff seem to have reworked it into a classic GN'R style as well. I think it would work as a comeback single.

  19. The problem with Axl and, by extension, with GN’R is that there are too many bad factors operating together. If it was just one or two things, we’d get over it easily. But add up the lack of new music, lack of little nice clips from like rehearsals/studio etc., lack of official live videos in appropriate quality (not half-assed selects), lack of DVDs / released gigs old or new (even though they have shitloads of them), lack of video clips, lack of professional management, unfortunate approach of the current management towards the fans, focus being put only on marginal merchandise, almost zero

  20. Yeah even I, a massive fan, have to admit that the latest song was really boring. If this is the only sound on the entire double album, than I’m not gonna bother even buying it now. :/ EDIT: did some research just now and found out that this album doesn’t even have an outside producer. Billy is producing it himself... That explains a lot...

  21. I wouldn't expect him to sing exactly like AXL/DC for every song. But some like Out Ta Get Me he definitely could. If I had it my way at this time at Axl's age it'd be a shorter set(with new songs and lots of rotating alts) and meaner, even if that means a little slower, vocals. He should move around the stage less too, that probably helped him with ACDC. I'd love some acoustic shows.

  24. From a completely professional business sight, we are the clients, so why should we stop asking for what we really want? It's a give and take, like in every other business, clients usually don't care about the personal wellbeing of the business owner. Where there's no demand, there's no supply (except useless merch) ...and yes, i know: professional business and GnR (+TB) = a contradiction in itself

  25. Man, I love Mac Davis. This song and Don't Get Hooked on Me are amazing. He was a great writer too, he wrote In The Ghetto and I think Daddy Please Don't Cry for Elvis. And he was a decent actor, he was really good as the the old QB in North Dallas Forty.

  34. The general public could care less about the former lineup. How well did the Vegas HOB show sell with the 2014 lineup? The money is with Axl and Slash. That’s all the band cares about. That’s all “management” cares about as well.

  36. Ugghh I hate to be negative all the time, and I applaud the band for playing the song and management for putting it out... But I would be fired if I submitted this mix to even my lowliest clients. I mean Jesus what kind of rank amateurs are involved with this and what kind of narcissism is at play where they think that the bare minimum they do is always good enough?

  41. "The year was 2020. The fan community went on an internet rampage, voices screaming for a new album got louder and louder, forums and social media were spammed, disdain towards the band was growing, the noose kept getting tighter around their necks and even the most die-hard fans started turning their backs on the band. It seemed like it was all over. But then, suddenly, as if the band had read the minds of their fans, they rose up from the abyss and surprised and silenced everyone: They released a pinball-machine."
