  2. Even his rasp generally sounds like shit... He has no stage presence or charisma left. Even his delivery on songs like Patience and Don't cry just isn't the same.. Those aren't terrible but still meh...

  3. All part of Post Malone's New Year Eve stream. They absolutely nailed it. Chad is killing the drums. And Slash... he's playing and sounds better here than since he rejoined Guns. Enjoy! 2:17:17

  8. 20 years just passed since HOB. The first time CD era songs were played, the first time there’s was real hope that bright days were ahead, we would soon be filled with music. Axl’s reclusion set the backdrop for what was supposed to be an exciting new direction in GNR/rock music history. I was so excited, there seemed to be an endless supply of possibilities. I used to salivate at the thought of all the glorious melodies and incredible lyricism that lied ahead......

  9. I have given up on them every being great or even very good again.. Half of the lineup does nothing for me and that is being nice.. That includes Axl.. He was still good enough in 2016 but that was already a long time ago.. I have no interest in any new music from this lineup and current day Axl.. I am still here in hopes they do something impressive... anything.. Release some awesome Blu Ray from the classic lineup or something.. I am also still a big fan of Slash and will continue to go see the band live as long as he is in the mix I will always enjoy seeing him play those classic songs live

  11. Yeah, it's my basement. When we first moved in, the vinyl took up a very small corner of the room but it continues to grow so more and more of the whole area keeps getting converted to everything about music. I mentioned this earlier in the thread but one former member of GN'R has hung out there with us many times. If you watch the first video on my channel and look in the comments, you'll see who it is We've had many forum members over too including @Ottofrom Brazil. I've also had @downzy @ZoSoRose @Powerage5 @Wagszilla and many other forum members over to check it out. Stil

  12. I thought we still had a „no YouTube links“ policy ESPECIALLY for unofficial GNR material, so stuff like this doesn’t happen

  13. Loved / still love this era. Criminal that nothing official is really available for purchase except CD (re-polished 100 times). They should release these concerts as boxsets. I remember staying in at uni instead of going clubbing just to listen to the Radio 1 rock show in 1999 - they were playing the exclusive premier of Oh My God at about 1.30am on a Saturday night. My friends (who were not Guns fans) just looked at me with an "errr, what the hell was that" kind of expression, but it didn't put me off at all.

  14. I remember reading about it the day after. Watching the pictures of this "new" Axl. I don't remember when the audio became avaliable but I remember listening to the new songs for the first time, Axl talking about Kundun, presenting the band. I was so excited. I believed they were going to take the world by storm. It was an interesting time to be a hardcore Guns N' Roses fan. There was so much to look forward to.

  18. There's a thread about it somewhere where we could suggest stuff for the boxset. I agree with all of this. End the tour in 2017, new album in 2018 or 2019.

  20. Yep. It's a bubble here for sure in terms of GNR. It just seems that mockery of the band has really ramped up recently. I thought LALD was a horrible mess, but SOYL was solid. The others fine. Perhaps I'm being overly generous here, or maybe I'm simply comparing them with the last Selects which I really didn't like. I don't know. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not going to 'go to bat' for these Selects, or call anyone out for hating them, but I didn't think they were quite the car-crash others think they are. Maybe as you say, my standards have slipped, and a relatively relaxing Chri

  21. How anyone can defend them at this point in time is quite beyond me. there is a multiple valid reasons for this fan base to have the shits with the band. the no album issue is just the icing on the cake. But as others have explained, they’ve basically stuck their middle finger up at the hardcore fans (not just this year) but for years in relation to the dialogue or lack there of with this section of the fan base. You only have to look at Fernandos posts on here previously that shows his disdain for us and you can bet your last dollar that attitude filters through to axl himself. L

  22. I'm not one to typically complain about the live videos, whether pro shot or fan shot. They never really do the in arena/stadium mix justice. Soundboard, iem mixes are too unforgiving to be representative of the actual concert experience, etc. But these Exit 111 are embarrassing. First of all, as a video editor, I notice within the first 20 seconds there's a mistaken flash frame that was just left in there. Very jarring, clearly inadvertent and unprofessional. Who the fuck is editing these?? It's POSSIBLE that was a live error on the part of the live video director at the concer

  23. The stuff with SMKC is the stuff that Slash likes most, because he knows it’ll get recorded and played live. The GN’R stuff that he’s saved, he doesn’t give two shits about, because it’ll never come out anyway...

  25. Because there were similarities to Jungle like the "Shananana" part which they since changed.. Live and Let Die - This was actually one of the songs this line up kicked as at in 2016. Why not pick a kick ass version? Shadow was pretty good BHS - Didn't like the original and their version is even worse.. Mostly due to to Axl.. He sounds bad all around on this one. KOHD was ok.. Same as everyone said 100 times.. I don't mind the jamming nut way to much Fortus soling and he is way too loud.. The arrangment isn't very good. Ditch the oooh oohs and bring back the Hay Hay Hays.

  30. in the last 17 years, i've meet many times all band members except Axl... Slash in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Duff in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Dizzy in 2017 and 2018. Gilby in 2010 and 2015. Steven in 2011. DJ in 2010, 2012 and 2016. Frank in 2010, 2017 and 2018. Richard in 2010, 2017 and 2018. Tommy in 2010. I've seen all the band in 2017 cause i've stay in the same hotel in Bologna, but TB can't permise me to meet AXL, and i was in the same hotel... i've seen all the band in the hall except for slash and axl... the hotel's staff, gn'r bodyguards,

  31. It’s just another reason for the hammering it’s taking in the press (see link to savage review on previous page). Utterly beggars belief that they would choose a weak year AND a show where Axl had a cold to show the world. Its almost like management think they are immune to criticism which flows from bad performances like this. I’d wager any one of us could select a better representation of the tour.....simply choose 2016/early-mid 2017 for the tougher ones and mid 2017 onwards for the stuff which is consistent like ISE/Brownstone etc. Not bloody difficult.

  40. What's most bizarre is Fernando seemed so happy when the Houston 2016 selects got such a positive response. On Reddit he was saying how much he loved all the positive comments and hoped it would change things for the better. Then he gives us two rounds of 2019 selects. Does he really not the notice the drop in quality? Obviously he can't acknowledge it publicly, but when it comes to these choices...wtf. He mentioned awhile ago he was "reviewing" the next set, not "picking out", so maybe Axl chooses them himself or at least monitors what is going out?

  43. Your kidding yourself if you thought they still had plans to release those mostly missing vocal tracks from 20 years ago. It is your choice if you wanted to listen to the leaks or not anyway. Sad thing is Rick has given you more than Axl has in the last 30 years lol
