  1. "With Guns it's all very secretive (...) AC/DC still maintains that, the Stones still maintain that" The difference is, those two bands maintain secretive, while releasing new music from time to time. Guns maintain secretive because they don't release anything at all.

  2. As much as she was nuts, I still kind of feel bad for her. There’s many who gets brainwashed into something. She just picked the wrong kool-aid. The tragedy ultimately lands on those in charge: Trump, Pence, McConnell, Cruz, Hawley, and any other asshole who knew better this whole time and still pushed people along for their own personal ambitions and gains. There were always assholes who blindly followed the tribe. But the leaders of this tribe are responsible for taking things this far. Had Trump conceded, not lied about the vote being rigged, and not call for a march on the capital when a

Plus the same people willing to shell out the big bucks in 2016 to see the freshly reunited line-up are hardly going to be willing to do the same again for another endless touring cycle. The Selects aren't doing any favours either.

  5. It's funny how this logic only applies to GNR, when Bucket's been involved in multiple bands (both live and studio), and Bumble's had great success with Sons of Apollo, and working with Asia. It seems like he and Tommy will always take shots at Bumble when given the opportunity, I feel bad for the guy. No doubt in my mind the bullying environment in GNR was real.

  6. My god, I've never heard a speech from him like it. He's like a terrible actor with an ego phoning it in after being given a role and a script that he clearly hates every word of. On the one hand it's kinda hilarious to see him do this through gritted teeth, but on the other - no-one should let him off the hook because he stood up and mimed his way through a box-checking exercise. Go for the jugular and make him answer for being an unrepentant, incorrigible, egomaniacal, duplicitous, fascist dick.

  9. Another reason for why he should be impeached. It's important that the nation sees the peaceful transition of power from one President to another. It bestows legitimacy on the incoming President. Impeach him and let Pence have a week of playing pretend President to do the right thing. I'm reading that many more Republicans than one would think are on board to throwing him out. Whether's it's 16 is doubtful, but it's not unforeseeable to think they get close to or just over 60 Senators voting to convict.

  10. How much travelling in vans and sleeping on floors has Fortus actually done? As far as I can tell, his three main gigs have been Rhianna, Enrique Ingelias and Guns. Can't see him hunkering down on a tour bus with Axl or RiRi somehow. Enrique may enjoy it though. Fortus really does talk a lot of shit.

  11. I don't see large concerts happening in 2021 still! Remember we won't have the vaccine to everybody this year! The chance of infecting someone will not be diminished up to at least 2022/2023.

  12. We're all adjusting to the idea that the end of coronavirus is going to be gradual, even with a vaccine. I've learned that if something isn't allowed in the USA, is sure as hell won't be happening in Europe.

  13. These people are like Jimmy Fallon – they like to hear themselves talk. The guests are often just brands that sell their show, it’s not really necessary to conduct some proper interview or anything, just a few tidbits or something “controversial” that would make the watch numbers, and that’s it. But as usual, where there’s demand, there’s supply.

  16. Dude be careful with your statements specially when discussing professional careers. managerial positions ( IN ANY FIELD! ) is not that formulated and as per book as written above. Since you have provided a checklist, let me provide you with another one regarding MUST-HAVE qualities of a manager and give me one example that either Fernando or Beta are matching with any of the below points: 1. They help develop artists' careers 2. They have a deep and detailed knowledge of an artist's portfolio 3. They are well aware of the latest trends, technological advancements and marke

  17. UK. Anyone under 50 is in the tenth priority group, so way, way down the list. Given that they 'hope' (i.e. they'll completely fail to, as they've failed to do anything well throughout the pandemic, which is why we've got in so badly here) to have the 'most vulnerable' groups vaccinated by April, you can get some idea of how long it may before the vaccine is given to anyone under the age of 50! People are speculating it might not even happen this year, depending on how much they fuck up the vaccine rollout......which they're already doing. So we're not holding our breath here! Prett

  18. Have you guys ever thought that those songs are so old and dated up to this point that they could actually be a flop, if ever released? Those songs are 20 years old, when rock was something completely different. I can't stop thinking that people want "The General" only for its name, people never heard the song and the only "witness" we have is Sebastian Bach saying it was the heaviest song he has ever heard in his life, which doesn't mean much since the dude is over excited by ANYTHING! I just think a lot of people are creating and living a really fucked up fantasy over here and

  21. I think once touring can be done in a safe way, there are going to be alot of competition for ticket sales amongst bands and artists. Considering ACDC have released an album there is one band that people will be wanting to see.

  23. Grunge, Nu Metal etc. 95 onwards, "classic rock" was dead. Ain't Life Grand was / is a fantastic album with a great line up, but also too early. It wasnt until 2004 ish (funnily enough when VR came onto the scene) that classic rock returned to the mainstream.

  26. UK shows without a doubt won't be happening here this summer. It's not even clear if children will be back in full time school by then and our chief medical officer is talking about some restrictions still being necessary next winter so rock concerts are a non starter for the moment. I think Ticketmaster/bands continue to book shows and sell tickets for a couple of reasons a) as PR to remind everyone they still exist and b) keep the revenue turning over so there's still an industry to return to in a few years.

  30. RICHARD FORTUS Says BUCKETHEAD And BUMBLEFOOT 'Had A Difficult Time Assimilating' Into 'Band World' Within GUNS N' ROSES https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/richard-fortus-says-buckethead-and-bumblefoot-had-a-difficult-time-assimilating-into-band-world-within-guns-n-roses/ During an appearance on a video podcast hosted by Todd Kerns, the bassist of SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS, GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Richard Fortus talked about what it was like to work with Buckethead for a couple of years in the early 2000s. If Axl has no heirs or a wife, then I assume TB being his family will inherit his estate and some portion of GNR.

  36. Absolutely 100 per cent. Post of the day for me. As well as tackling the other root causes that lead to this- growing inequality, poverty, the rich getting richer, the rise of populist leaders, etc etc. It should be a wake-up call to the world that things need to change.

  37. Sure, opinions are like assholes, as they say. I'm sure you know that Jungle, Ozzy and even Royal Blood sounds outdated in many peoples opinions. But it's all subjective. I don't think there is such a thing as objectively outdated music. Sounds don't get old. There's just different kinds of trends. For example the synth pop music of the eighties were the epitome of outdated music for a long time, but right now those eighties synth sounds are very popular in alternative circles and you hear those influences even in mainstream music. Industrial sounding music could easily make a comeba

  38. Not really wishing to start a Covid debate but.....there's every reason to cancel a few rock shows if it protects the vulnerable in society. I'll happily stay indoors for a few more months if it means protecting even one person from this shit. i won't be 'blaming China' for it either. I might point a finger or two at the ABYSMAL handling of all this by the government in my country and a certain other country, who have equally dire leadership! Fortunately though, it's not like the world are clamouring for another leg for the latest leg of the never ending NITL tour. Sorry.....
