  1. There Was A Time showcases Axl Rose at the very peak of his craft. Unbelievable vocal delivery throughout and in my top 3 Guns N’ Roses songs. You Could Be Mine. Chanted with a fucking swagger that no one could ever replicate. You’re Crazy. He’s phenomenal throughout Lies, but this version is out the top drawer. Rocket Queen. Live Era is always my go to, but that outro closing arguable one of the most iconic records of all time is some going. Honorable mentions to Civil War, Chinese RM01, The Blues, Better, I.R.S.

  2. I just watched. he uses a whip to think..... based on the It's So Easy video, Axl should be smarter than Einstein. lol cool episode and it's good to know that Axl has a crew that can solve the real mystery: the whereabouts of Izzy!

  3. Human being from TSI is probably the strongest I’ve heard his voice on a studio recording IMO. It’s a damn shame that it wasn’t captured in the studio on original material in the mid 90s

  4. This is an unfinished acoustic track I'm working on. It's very rough, please forgive my playing.

  5. What is your favorite studio vocal performance by Axl? Must be the whole song, not just a line or two. For me it's One in a Million. That song has the perfect blend of my favorite Axl attributes: The patented drawn out words like "starraarr" or "make us cryyiayy" The perfect balance of rasp and phlegm, especially in the line "they come to our country, and think they'll do as they please" The power is clean but raspy/rough/phlegmy all at the same time Shows off his incredible range between baritone and screeching The attitude. Right or wrong, the attitude and swagger in the song can't be matched (Ok, maybe ISE matches/exceeds, but still...)

  6. I guess most of you remember the pre-The Project/VR era of Camp Freddy. Duff, Slash and Matt (among others) played together more than once and some really cool videos are still up on youtube. I think Izzy joined them at least once as there's the Jumpin' Jack Flash video of all of them playin together, there's the Mr. Brownstone audio (there used to be a video floating around too but for some reason it disappeared and now only the audio is available). And I know for sure Izzy had one more spot with the actress Gina Gershon, they did Ring Of Fire together. There are some pics from this particular song floating around but I never came across any video/audio. Anyone?

  7. What an awesome Scooby Doo and Shaggy and Axl Rose episode. Axl was in the whole thing and helped solve the mystery of the mud men and made the mystery machine killer! I thought the whole episode was cute and funny. Just wish they could have played a GNR song while they road on the bikes, but I guess there was't really a song that could be played for the younger set. lol Anyway, I thought it was a very cool episode and Axl rocked!

  8. I only met her online, but I've never met anyone as courageous as her. Even though life was particularly harsh on her, she never lost her sense of humor and there was never any bitterness. I'm sure she was an inspiration to many she met, both irl and online. She spoke highly of you, @ZoSoRose, you were a dear friend to her. I hope she's at peace now.

  13. These seemingly random cartoon appearances are pretty dope, especially the Looney Tunes one considering it featured Axl actually singing. But I have to admit both times my first thought was, where's the new album? I just wish my favorite band gave me a new record to spin in quarantine. That's all I'm saying.

  21. US foreign policy isn't based on any moral principle, it's based on the maintenance of an empire (and it is an empire) and whatever the big money donors who own both parties want. More people need to see it through realistic eyes and not the phony moral pretense we're given. And by the way, it's always been this way, this isn't a recent phenomenon.

  29. Nope, I’ve been following this band for 30 years and rule no.1: Nothing is ever confirmed in the world of Gn’fn’R unless it is released, in the shops, and in your possession 😁

  30. Kiss and WWE wrestlers have been on Scooby Doo as well as other big time celebrities throughout the years. I think it's way cool. Like I said the Supernatural episode was so awesome and funny. I know Jensen Ackles loved doing it. It's a stand out episode for any fan of the show.

  31. They rehearsed Pretty Tied Up, Think About You and Hardschool in Mexico so hope they play them to "celebrate" their return. They rehearsing Hardschool in particular still seems surreal, it's the closest we've been to new music since the reunion started and then nothing happened.

  32. The earlier Dead Daisies albums aren't that great imo but the new one (with Glenn Hughes and Doug Aldrich) is amazing. Not a bad song on it and it blows all the earlier ones with Fortus/Dizzy out of the water.

  36. Axl Rose looks damn good. He has lost weight and looks very slim in the face. Now the big multi-year Post-Covid19 tour can begin.

  37. The minute they do something great, 99% of the people on here would post positive stuff. But they never do, for a long time now. It's as simple as that.

  38. But my point is that while you may see it as 'trivial' a lot of people are really passionate about GNR. Hence why they're on a forum, discussing them. I don't see this "constant barrage of negative posts from single posters" at all. I see a lot of discussions going on, involving a lot of different people. It's absurd to claim that dissenting voices stay silent - there are constant debates on here, about all sorts. If a lot of people are unhappy, well, that's just going to be represented by what people are saying. And the truth of the matter is that most people seem unhappy at present. They complain because they care. If they didn't care, they wouldn't be here. That you don't care is fine, and good for you, but if people do care, and they're pissed off, then they'e going to say so. The 'why are they here' argument is simply that - because they like/care about what GNR are doing. Hey, if you want to see negative, go and have a look at some other GNR places - most notably their social media platforms! Absolutely brutal. This forum is arguably one of the most positive places online for GNR discussion.

  45. Any crimes that result in life being innocently taken for no conscuencious reason shoukd invole their life been taken . People who do this in my view cannot be mentally rehabilitated. So whats the answer?. Life in prison for say 50,60,70 years?. They cannot be rehabilitated and i certainly would not want my taxes housing and feeding them for their remaining time on earth. My answer is, they should die. Slowly. I think society is more heinous than what it was 50 years ago hence why i think peoples attitude to the death penalty are changing.

  46. I've never felt mankind in general has the right nor the wisdom to decide over life or death. At the same time there are certainly cases to be made, like ssiscool did earlier. From mass murderers to rapists to war criminals. I doubt, if they'd caught him at the time, many would have felt Josef Mengele should be allowed to live after the horrible crimes he commited. And if some pervert would put a hand on my daughter, my reaction would most likely be to kill him with my bare hands. But still... from a remote and objective perspective I'd say man shouldn't be able to decide over life or death. But that raises the question, what should we do? And that's quite hard too. It's easy to say we should put them in a 2x2 meter cell with some straw for a bed and a shitbucket to live out the rest of their lives on bread and water without any daylight. There's something very strange in saying "this person committed a horrible crime so we will now spend thousands worth of tax money so that they can live out their lives in good conditions in what is just about a hotel room". I could ahrdly defend that one towards a victim either. I do feel the risk these people pose to society should always outweigh the rights of the perpetrator. You simply can't explain, as a government or coutnry, that a rapist, pedophile or murderer you put a "rehabilitated" stamp on falls back in their old ways. Certainly not to the victim and/or their families. As they so often do. So yeah, if you can't kill them, where should you put them and under what conditions? That's a hard one...
